Alright guys, I usually dont post for help, but I'm stuck. I've been playing the game with a friend, and we reached the level 5 of the dragon's eye dongeon. We have albion's key. We cleared the whole floor and carefully looked for another key, but found nothing. There's this door, just before the the battle against the witch, which refuse to works. I tried a few things (even casting fireball on it :p), but it absolutely refuses to open.

EDIT: I am being informed by higher powers that its actually 2 doors before the battle. Anyway, its a huge door that we absolutely have to cross to get there. I just imported all the keys available in dalekeeper without any success. Help more appreciated than ever :)

I thought albion's key was needed but obviously its not just that, since it doesn't work... and guides and walkthroughs, while they all mention the upcoming fight, don't say anything about the door itself.

So I'd appreciate if anyone could help us out of this little problem...

If the door will not open automatically, then it may simply need to be picked by a theif. If the message you get says that the door is locked try having a theif pick it.

Well, that would be the obvious solution, wouldn't it. ;)

He's tried a few things already, he said, including picking the lock and Knock spell. It's warded against simple spells. Is there a trigger somewhere?

Darien, I have been through IWD at least 10 times, and there is only one door on any of the levels of Dragons Eye that requires a key. If he is just two doors away from the final battle there then the doors should not require a key. Perhaps a better explanation of location is in order.

I know... I was pretty surprised to find it locked, myself. We're playing a MP game, and I don't remember any locked door at this point. It's extremely frustrating.

Sigh.. perhaps a reload from a previous save. I doubt that will solve it, but it seems to be our only option at this point. Thanks anyway, Baldak.

    Grr...
/me kicks the damned door.

Or perhaps not. It might be a bug actually. Just to be sure, what is the location of that locked door? Is it even on the 5th floor?

Reloading might be an option if we had anything but the auto and quick saves :)

What if someone sent you a save game that was at that point. You could delete their characters and import your own.

    [IMG] Ooohh!! Good Idea!!

I hate the beginning of that game, it's too slow, and I don't want to start all over. (All of his saves have the same problem. :( )If anyone has a save game from Dragon's Eye, that would be great!

Starting Point: just before you enter Yxonomei's level, after clearing out Albion and his cronies. Please, if you have one, email or icq me at 111225416 to let me know.

I got the same problem. I think what happened is that i was on the outside of the door, and sent summoned monsters into the room with the odd little girl. I think this triggers the door to shut, and can only be opened by killing the "boss"! I'm stuck as well.

Wow, a 14 year necro. That must be some kind of record.

I don't think summons should trigger the door, but that's why you shouldn't be metagaming like that.

The doors should open when you clear the rooms, but if something got stuck, it's easiest to just use the console to fix it.

    Enable cheat console in the options, press ctrl+tab in the game and type this: CHEATERSDOPROSPER:EnableCheatKeys();

After that, you can use ctrl+j to teleport to your mouse cursor among other things.

CHEATERSDOPROSPER:Hans(); will instantly teleport all selected party members instead, with no intermediate steps.

If you're playing Enhanced Edition, just type C: instead of the whole thing (e.g. C:ExploreArea()).
