    Hi all,

I've decided to give IWD + HoW + TotLM another go after years away from it and I've come across a potential bug.

I installed IWD and found the attack sounds for the party were fine, and the same is true with HoW, but when I installed TotLM all of the weapon swings were replaced with the same creature sound effect. Its something like a wolf or dog (reminds me of the various wolf types in BG 1).

Its a little distracting when the combat sounds are messed up like this and I wondered if anyone else has had the same problem? I'm using IWD and HoW from the IWD ultimate collection (which includes IWD2, bonus discs and IWD soundtrack).

    Ta,

I haven't heard of this issue before. But if all else fails, you could try not installing TotL from the discs, but download it from SP here and install that. Maybe there's something wrong with the archive on the discs you have.

The version of TotLM I used was from Sorcerer's. The bonus disc for IWD has got bugger all on it and TotLM isn't included in the package.

Worst comes to the worst I can just leave TotLM off, or dig out my original IWD box and HoW disc from the loft as I don't recall a problem with them and TotLM. Perhaps this collection has dodgy discs for IWD and HoW.

Thanks for the help though. :)

You could try grabbing TotL from another location as well... though I haven't heard of any issues with the archive that's on SP for as long as it's been there, but you never know...

I know I just revived the thread, but I just finally got the HoW CD today and experienced the exact same problem. As per the advice, I hadn't tried running HoW w/o TotL but immediately searched on Sorcerer's Place to see if it was a known issue.

Has anybody experienced this issue and resolved it? I'm going to try some troubleshooting such as installing HoW w/o TotL to see if it is the cause of the problem. If it is, I'll try finding another copy of TotL and report back.

    EDIT:
I've done all I can think of. It is definetly the TotL patch. I tried 3 different sources of the patch and they all give me the same problem. It doesn't matter if I do a full install or minimum install. I don't experience the problem with plain IWD, HoW, or HoW with the 1.41 patch. It only happens when I install TotL.

I guess for now I'll play without TotL.
