    I#ve been running through Baator and fighting abishai several times, but the portal back to the Outlands does not show up. It should be in the lower left corner as it was in the last game, but nothing happens and I end up cornered by 10 abishai.
    Have I forgotten something? I asked Fjull how to get back. My journal says I have to look for something common in this plane.
    Does the pillar say anything useful for that?
    All I did there was lie to him and get the information of the fortress.

    Fhjull should have told you how to do this. You need to pick upa piece of obsidian and cut your tongue with it to opne the portal.

    IIRC you don't actually need to look for a piece of obsidian, it all happens automatically when you get to that lower left corner.

    I remember this happening last time I played but it does not now. Have been searching the whole corner with my cursor. Can it be a bug or something?

    Well I kept trying and met a lone cornugon where the portal should be, killed it and the treasure it left, activated the portal dialog. Still don't understand what the cornugon had to do with this, did never see any last time.

    Most merchants can identify items for a fee. You can also have Dak'kon or Ignus (or yourself, if you're a mage) memorise Identify or use an Identify scroll.

    With a high enough Wisdom score, you'll identify most items yourself is you examine them (right-click them in the Inventory screen).

    If you have found Nordom, give the items to him, equip him with the Magnification lens, and he can identify most items as well.
