I've noticed that there's been a great decrease in activity in the forums I used to be subscribed to since the change to Xenforo. I haven't compared it to overall activity so I'm not sure.

I also recall that I had to manually log in and resubscribe to all the forums as while my individual thread subscriptions were retained, subscribing to an entire forum was NOT, and that I myself had a month-long absence before I thought to manually check.

Spacebattles recently sent a notice that alert preferences were reset, perhaps a similar notice here would tell people they need to manually resubscribe to various forums and they would think to check back instead of thinking the board is dead, or just a case of "out of sight, out of mind"?
At they very least, a one-time notice for members when they first come back reminding them instead of the need to resubscribe to entire forums if they haven't since the switch to Xenforo instead of sending one via e-mail.

Of course, this is may be bit late for this, but it is a thought.

Yea, I've been intending to send out a mailing about our switch to XF anyway, so I'll be sure to include that info in there as well.
