I was just starting a game of this again after about a year. Actually I was resuming where I left off. I don't play it much because it's only installed on Windows 98 and due to the various bugs making it difficult to get working right, I"m reluctant to try to put it on XP again as a shared install. (The computer is 98SE/XP dual)

Something occurred to me. Just how much of the game does the Stillwater area combined with the Main Halls, Halls of Light, Halls of Stone, and Deep halls compose combined with the Hall of Wizards and the House of Gems Tower?
That is effectively one big dungeon and as I recall, most of the other areas are smaller. It must be at least 1/4 of the game, probably more like 1/3, but I've only actually finished the game once so I can't recall clearly.

Having just played this game again for the first time in years (possible since 2014), I'd say it's more like at least 1/3, as all the other dungeons are shorter. Only the catacombs really come close.
Although it feels like 1/2 the game is the main halls, halls of light, halls of stone, and deep halls, I think it's only 1/3.

Good luck with the game, i finished it on WinXP like 14 years ago. I'd like to try the game again but only with a bugfix/restoration/tweak patch (with tweak being support for higher resolutions like 1024x768 or 1280x720). I remember i found a site with an unofficial patch years ago with bugfixes including a situation i remember where a priest inside a tree always heals me but after some time he stop doing it for no reason.

I believe he stops after his partner offers to join your party.
Although by that point you can get the Dark Naga to heal you instead by running to the outdoor area to the south and a little east over the bridge. Although the Dark Naga whose name I can't recall off-hand (or spell) will dispell your buffs while healing you. Granted you can find a place to rest nearby, but it is still annoying.
