Wizard Slayer dualed to a Mage?

    Huh? Lol. I just dual classed a wizard slayer to a mage. Anyone else find this just a tiny bit humorous? Is my game bugged in a good way? Or is it because of the BG2_tweaks?:p

    There's a fair about irony there, but it's legal and justifiable.
    It boils down to fighting fire with fire. It could happen if the character is desperate enough, or simply lacks ideals. And it makes sense - the best way to counter enemy magic is to use magic of your own.

    So, what is the result? Can you use magical items? Can you use magical items before re-activating your fighter levels?

    I never actually made the character. Just thought it was funny while I was looking character options :p

    Just checked. You can only use what equipment that is legal for a WS including armor and weapons not normally available for mages..

    Is it just me or does it seem like the 10% cumulative spell failure upon being hit by the WS isn't actually working?

    Doesn't work with ranged attacks. Mirror Image/Protection from Magical Weapons offer some protection against it, but Stoneskin doesn't. Spell failure affects not just spells but most innates, even ones that you normally wouldn't consider magical.
