I got the game. I dreamt about the game. I can't play the game!!!!!
My computer keeps on rebooting on me. It is inconsistent too. Sometimes during the opening movie, alot when the game asks me to register. I tried registering, I tried not registering, it DOES NOT MATTER. When I finally get to the character creation screen, I spent an hour and a half massaging my new party. GREAT. I hit accept. REBOOT. All you can say is "WHAT THE F..."

I had this game for 5 hours now. I havn't played one minute. Everyone else that I know that got the game today are happily playing Icewind Dale. Does anyone know what I can do other than E-mailing tech support (which I did two hours ago)????

Sorry... I don't even have the game yet (lousy distributors) so I really can't help you there.
But in any case, tech support is your best bet.

Well, tech support is Monday - Friday. Not much good to me now. I returned the game today. The clerk said I was the second person to return icewind dale because of the same problems.

One of the main problems with restarting during movies is one of two things. Not enough Memory, or video card issues. If you have an older video card, you may need to go out and buy and newer one. I am using a TNT2 Ultra card with 32mb ram, and it runs like a champion. Also, you may want to run at least 128MB of ram. After I upgraded my card and system memory, I have not had any problems with my machine and gaming. Something to think about.

I ran in to the same problem. I have a PII 350 128 mb ram with a agp Diamond Stealth 4000 & a Voodoo 2 8mb card. I took those out and put in a Voodoo 3000 PCI and it runs fine. I guess it was just time to upgrade the video card.
