View Full Version : AI gone on holidays?

Has anyone experienced non-responsive AI after installing Trials of the Luremaster? I'm pretty sure it worked fine until I did it, but since I have ToTL installed, my tanks just stand around and don't attack anyone hostile, even though they have basic defend/attack scripts running as usual. The thief script seems to work though, as my thief is the only one in the party that starts showering monsters with arrows as soon as he sees them.

Not that I really need AI or anything, but it's annoying since I'm used that they at least go for the monsters when they are attacking the party...

You should ask BI to fix it in a patch

Not very likely that they'll make any more patches at this point.

Yep, same problem here. AI works partially, tanks and wizards stand around doing nothing, my ranger still attacks with her bow though.
Priest is also not functioning.

I fixed this problem partially by reverting everyone to the most basic scripts that just make them attack everything they can see. However, the auto-healing of party members on half strength and the like doesn't work now. (For my f/c and f/d and paladin.) Still, it's better than having to point them to each monster individually every time. There's just too many in HoW/ToTL to do that continuously. Oh well...

You might check your pathfinding level. If you have it set to 400,000 on a Tbird 850, it will chew up the AI. I have a 1.4ghz, and I usually play at 40,000 without problems from the Ai scripts.

I have it at 50.000... Anything more than that is really pointless, since it makes no difference at all. Pathfinding sucks no matter how high you set it, so you might as well save some resources and have it low.
