View Full Version : How do you get PoR 1? ywpark89 Wed, 7th Nov '01, 1:39pm I've heard that the original PoR's name is PoR: Attack on Myth Drannor. It's fom the 70's, so i know it's old, but someone help me, please? Majjin Wed, 7th Nov '01, 1:51pm Check out e-bay, and the game was made in the mid 80's, due to the fact that pc's didnt even have games for um in the 70s...dont even think they were good enough :oP..... Llandon Wed, 7th Nov '01, 3:13pm The Originail game was named "Pool of Radiance". Then came "Curse of the Azure Bonds" IIRC the next game was the "Secret of the Silver Blades" and the last one was "Pool of Darkness" The Originial game came out in 1985 I believe. I have fond memories of playing it on my Apple II computer. It was the FIRST AD&D computer game, and It used 1st Edition rules. I remember thinking at the time that the game was perfect, and wondered what they could do to make it better. WOW! If I only knew then what I know now! Linael Sat, 10th Nov '01, 11:19pm Try this review link http://www.mobygames.com/game/view_review/platformId,2/reviewerId,850/gameId,502/ I had this game and it was Excellent. You wander around killing goblins'n'stuff. Download the code here... http://localhost.ee/abandonware/view.php?id=163 One thing though, the site here says that the game is "Abandonware" which means that the software company that originally marketed it is defunct/doesnt care but it may still be less than legal to possess a copy of this game if you do not own the original... ok? EDIT: No use without a code-wheel :) EDIT: Full title available here with wheel! http://www.oldsoftware.com/Games.html [This message has been edited by Linael (edited November 11, 2001).] Alyr Arkhon Sun, 11th Nov '01, 10:38pm Here's another link: http://webking.hu/dp/mainpage.htm There are a lot of another old CRPGS as well! |
