I have encountered some stone lizards and it seems that nothing can kill them, lol. Some help , plz ?

Those are immune to spells.
Get some weapons that have To Hit +3 or +4 and use those against them. Also check if you have in inventory any ring or amulet that provides To Hit +3, +4 or even +5.

On thing you should remember, the damage of a weapon is irrelevant if you can't hit anything with it. So a mace+3 would be better to use instead of greatsword+1. This mace will hit more times than the greatsword.

Awwww, I almost forgot. Don't forget to use Prayer cleric spell! Use it often, not only against Stone Lizards.

What does Prayer do? When in the game do I find a cleric to join my party in the game if i do at all ?

You'll find a cleric when you finish with dwarven dungeons. It is actually someone familiar...
