i'm in the prison level of the catacombs and everyone in my party is losing hitpoints at the same time. It happened right after i fought a lich and destroyed his life force. what is going on here

Maybe they're are just damaged by an area effect spell/trap.
Try leaving and reentering the area.

i was playing around with my spells and when i used dispel magic it stopped.
