I can't seem to convince Aribeth not to fight me again in Maugrim's Sanctuary in Chapter 4. Will I be able to convince Aribeth or am I stuck to kill her sorry ass?

And is my being female have anything to do with it?

I tried convincing her with a Paladin with 14 Charisma and with many points in the 'Persuade'-skill, but I failed. So if she can be convinced, you probably have to have a Sorcerer or something with high Charisma, and have maximum points in 'Persuade'. ;)

Was your character male or female?

I want to know if it has anything to do with gender since there's supposed to be a romance with Aribeth or something... still :confused: ...

if you romance aribeth it will be very easy if you keep her ring.
if you dont i think you need high CHA and persuade

It would definitely have to be an awfully high persuade score. My paladin with CHA:21 and 20-some points in Persuade could not do the job.

You NEED the ring.

You don't need the ring. I did get it, but I had somehow managed to lose it by that time, yet I convinced her to give herself up.

And you don't need an obscenly high persuade skill either, my ranger only had about 6 or so, and charisma 14 (boosted to about 19 with eagle's splendour), yet I managed to persaude her. You just need to choose the right dialogue options.

Do you have any specifics for that mission? like the preferred char or persuade in order to save her?
