Well, there I am, finally closing in on Neverwinters Nemesis, ready to take her on in close combat. So.. any tips on actually beating the wicked witch? My level 15 Ranger (150HP, +3 Rapier, Protector, AC 39 with buffs, AB +24/.., damage reduction worth 10HP) accompanied by Tomi and his brave Dire Wolf compagnion is getting chopped to pieces while they never get Her further than Badly Wounded.
Any wacky weaknesses she may have, tremendous tactics anyone likes to share? I'm all ears!
Thanks!
Blackthorne TA Wed, 28th Aug '02, 5:05pm I was a 20th level Ranger, so it may not be so easy for you, but I had a ton of ice arrows (also fire arrows which I almost needed). So what I did was not even destroy the gargoyle statue to lower the blade barrier. I just shot the guy providing frost resistance with ice arrows until he died and then turned them on what's-her-name. She died just before I ran out of them.
I did take out the two goons first though, but they didn't seem that difficult...
Abyssal Knight Wed, 28th Aug '02, 7:48pm I was also a level 20 Ranger, but I took a different approach. I dual wielded scimitars and I went in and lured the two Morags Hand's back into the hallway so I could kill them. After I killed them I went back in, destoyed the gargoyles and took out the one that defends againts sword damage or whatever. Then I took out Morag really easily.
JohnnyRTFM Thu, 29th Aug '02, 3:58am What always worked for me was to let my henchman take care of Morag's goons while I go directly for statue. Once that is destroyed, I knock off the Protectors. Then Morag herself becomes pretty simple. First time was a 18th level Paladin wielding longsword +3, did it again just now with a 16th level fighter using Astral Blade. Tomi actually slaughtered both Morag's Hands by himself.
Bombur Fri, 31st Oct '03, 10:21pm Lure Morag out of the main room into the one where you killed her chosen ones, then wait until she starts to cast a spell at you -- then run back into the other room. If you are hasted, you'll be out of sight before the spell is finished, so she won't follow. Take out all her cronies, including the ones who are chanting. Each one is vulnerable only to the thing it defends against (e.g. use blunt weapons to kill the defender of the mace, etc.). Once the defender is dead, Morag becomes vulnerable to that type of attack. When you're ready, head back out and kill Morag with a direct assault.
Mayfairy Thu, 13th Nov '03, 12:13pm Morag is not too bad if you remember to make her vulnerable to your attacks byt killing those guardians or whatever they're called. I finished the game with lvl 15 rogue without any NPC's and the last fight was ridiculously easy. I just ran, hide, backstabbed and so on. It shouldn't be too hard for you.

Chevalier Mal Fet Thu, 27th Nov '03, 8:43am I discovered pretty early on that Morag's little worshippers don't take too well to negative energy. This may not help you, but for my evil cleric this made it so much easier for me.
Vyndin Source Tue, 2nd Dec '03, 9:03am First time with a Paladin was too easy, just hack away while wearing a Sash of Shimmering or Daelan's necklace...
But when I played as a Sorcerer, I had to take everything in steps, ie kill him, heal, kill that one, heal, and so on...
It should not be too hard with a Ranger, just bash the statue and hack at what you see...
