What does this thing do? Tried to use it on myself, to find hidden doors, to fry enemies, identify items - and it did nothing.

Does the "fry ants" description of its usefullness actually mean I can use it against formians or something?

After what i've heard, it's supposed to help you with showing a bridge or somesuch :S

I've heard you can use it to Fry the Formian Queen. But, I've never used it on her, because I've only played through twice and I've been Good both times. Aside from that, I've never heard of, nor found, a use for it. It's certainly not needed to get through the game.
