Okay ... I've ordered mine on Amazon (through SP) and hope to receive it any day now.

Who else has it?

Does anyone have it installed?

Mat, do you honestly expect people who own actual copies of this game to be reading these forums instead of playing? :p ;)

No doubt, when I get the game, I will be away from all communication for at least a day!! Maybe while it's installing though, I'll swing over here and let ya know if I got it or not. :)

I hope to get it friday, until then I have to play Warcraft 3. I can't play NWN at work so I will still be on the boards though.... :)

Well, I've had it for a sweet while... While I was beta testing it. ;)

It'll be a while before I'll be able to play it again - for real now, though.

CompUSA stores said they will have it on the shelves tomorrow morning, start of business. The guy on the phone said he was barraged with calls about it. :)

And I thought being Taluntain was just a thankless load of work.

I ordered it last night (Chips & Bits).

I went in to CompUSA today to buy it and when they didn't have it.....I got carried away and bought Pools---VERY different combat style. I was somewhat disappointed. Looking forward to tomorrow's purchase.

Heya's.
If anyone of you gets NWN, could you do me a BIG favour? I live in Europe, where it usually takes longer for a game to enter the stores, and furthermore, the package is sometimes different. Whereas you have these l33t DVD boxes, here we sometimes still get cd-jewelcases or a completely different coverdesign. I was hoping to get some scans of cd/dvd box covers (maybe even the entire package box) so I can make mine look cooler heh. Here's a sample:

If anyone can be bothered, that would be greatly appreciated :D I can't wait to see what they look like. (And I'd be able to show off to my friends hehehe :D :p )

Greetz!

Relic - I feel your pain!!! Sadly, though - I wish I was at work so I could feel the anticipation of getting through the day...Studying for exams just doesn't give the same feeling...

I ordered from Amazon (through SP of course) but Amazon has not yet shipped NWN. They list 2 to 3 days as the usual processing time. I don't think I'll have it before Friday now. I know some friends who have it already delievered. I hope I have it to play this weekend. I'm not a huge fan of UPS getting packages anywhere on time. I wish Amazon let you use FedEx. :(

I called EB at around 11 am and they said they had it. I rushed over there and casually walked in, saw the wall filled with copies of Neverwinter. Grabed one and booked. (paying for it of course) But my friend told me he was there at noon and the a line had developed stretching out of the store. He couldn't get in to secure his copy. Damn I'm lucky.

I have installed it yesterday and not surprising I found myself playing half of the night.

NWN looks sweet on my comp (650 MHz Athlon/ 320 MB RAM/ 64MB DDR GF-3 - great investment :) ), only performece problem is that the vidoes are subject to stutter a bit.

Though it sometimes looks a little Diablo-ic it is definitely another class of a game than the former. Very promising, I'm just clearing the peninsula in Chapter 1.

I've had it for a week now, and it still doesn't work. I have a computer expert/co-worker stoping by to fix it, hopefully, if not I'll be buying my "wife" a new computer ... so that I can get this thing working!

Just bought it!!! :D

About to install. (I want to make the moment of holding the unwrapped game in my hands before ending the wait once and for all.) ;)

The box really threw me off ... its so tiny.

And the ATARI logo ... what did Atari have to do with it? My wife said, "What are you doing with an Atari game, we have Play Station!"

I have just bought it and installed it. I thought I'd pass by Sorcerer's first and get the patch(es) before I first run the game.

Considering the part of the world I'm in, the game arrived rather quickly. Next week, they'll be releasing WarCraft III, but that will have to wait...

Read the manual yesterday and installed and played it today. Too bad most of the beginning is spoiled for me since I played the beta. :p

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!
Just finished my mess around with the prolouge. Now i'm going to start my actual game as an Elven Ranger with long bow and long sword. Slight issues reduce enjoyment a tad. I've had to turn voice off because it won't work right and had to put music volume down to 15%. Also, a bit laggy but not unplayable. Even with these problems it's still sweet :D

Got the german version today from amazon. Horrors, translations are awful, so, for all the germans around: Get the english version.

One example: As for the name of the game it is marketed as "Neverwinter Nights" in germany as well. However, in the manual is is referred to as "Niewinter", a correct translation of the word Neverwinter into german. Unfortunately though Neverwinter is not named Neverwinter because it is never winter there but because it was founded by some Lord Never, too bad, too bad :D
There are plenty of little, silly errors like that :almostmad:

Games of that complexity are better played in the original, since the translators usually lack background knowledge and make ridiculous mistakes when translating - and even get money for producing such crap :(

you are totally right, Ragusa. Translated games just don't have that RPG atmosphere.

I should get NWN Wednesday 'cause when I went to order it today, the shopkeeper claimed it was impossible to get before Wednesday.

I got it today, from a PCWorld outlet.

And it cost me £40.

Sounds a rip off, bit I think that it's worth it. But I'll still keep on playing BG1/2.
