i.e permadeath, if your character dies, no reloading, start again?
If so I'd be interested in how you are doing.

I've been playing like that, just saving when I quit for awhile, and then playing from that point. I've done ok, but had to go slow, and run away a few times. I'm just into chapter 2 (like I said, not very far), and am playing a single class rogue, and the female cleric henchman (you can tell I don't care for her that much, as I can't remember her name, but I love how she always swears in Elvish, or whatever that is she says). So far, so good.

I might try going "iron man". I'll try it once. After that I'll just start from where I left off and finish the game with a dead character.

I'm going it alone, but I'm having a tough time with the more powerful creatures near the end of the quests in Chapter 1.

There was a Dire Bloated Spider in the crypts that I finally just ran past because it killed me so many times with me barely scratching it. And the Waterdavian creature at the end of the crypts there really gave me a hard time. Killed me enough that I though about leaving and coming back later when I was more powerful, but I'm too impatient for that :) Once I'm there, unless I think it's impossible, I'm not leaving, and I got her pretty close to death every time, but then my luck would always turn sour :)

Hmmm... My saved game was corrupted so I replayed the final crypt area again from my auto save, and it was much easier, strange.

Doh! I had a Ranger spell coming to me last level and I didn't even realize it! I could have had a trusty badger with me, or been entangling stuff, or even resisting the elements!

Dude BTA. I had the exact same problems with the Dire Bloated Spider in the crypts and I too just gave up and finally ran passed it.

With the Waterdavian creature at the end I just attacked and retreated over and over hurting her more and more till she was dead. I had to reload several times because she always stuns me.
