I recently bought neverwinter nights and when i install it it asks for the cd key. I type the cd key in and it says this is not a valid cd key.

My friend had this problem. I bought the game quite a while ago, but recently bought the deluxe set. My friend also bought the deluxe set. His CD-Key didn't work, so I gave him my one from the deluxe set, as I already had my different one, and that didn't work either. I think there is some sort of problem with the deluxe edition CD-Keys, as when I gave him the CD-Key from my really old copy, the one whose CDs don't work anymore, it worked fine. Although it seems that just the original NWN is affected, both his and my expansions installed perfectly. If i were you, I would seek out another copy of plain old NWN.

I'd recommend checking on Bioware's site for info about this problem. I think I recall reading something about some bad CD-keys being created or something along those lines. Try searching the forums.

Doesnt matter anymore i got someone elses and it worked.
