This will be the most popular game of the year, and will push AD&D gaming into the main stream. The only questions I have deal with just how simple it will be to create your own mods, but if they do what they say then we might have to break out sorcerer's Neverwinter Nights page as a separate one ;p.

I can't say i agree with you (about NWN being the game of 2001). Sure its going to be a great game, but 2001 will bring a helluva lot of excellent, ground-breaking games, such as Freelancer, Sacrifice, and especially Black and White (if it doesn't get released this year, of course).

Even if it's not the game of the year it will still be ground breaking for CRPG, most of all for AD&D. But it all ride of the DM toolset. If it is easy to make mods then the RP community on MUSHs will have a whole new place to play.
