What are these things for? They have them in every Temple of Tyr but I don't know what to do with them. Apperently you're supposed to make some sort of "donation" to them??

I'm not quite sure too.
But I guess its used to retrieve missing important itmes? Like those for quests?

Don't be so hesitating since your absolutely right. Those pools are some kind of shop were you can reby lost quest items that are still needed for uncompleted quests.

Or other plot items, such as henchmen contracts.
