Hi guys, once again you'll have to forgive my ignorance, if I did the update feature on the game, am I clear and set to play away?

Thanks in advance for any help issued.

Yes, the update feature will download and install the latest officially released patch for you.

Just to add to that. You can see which version you are running at the very first menu. In the top left hand corner you will see a message like V1.24.

I also found that the multiplayer gamespy window kept telling me I wasn't up to date even though I was. So don't let that fool you. Finally, it looks like the game has moved to version 1.24 in the last day or so. Get clicking that Update button :)

Thank you gentlemen. I'm running game version 1.24.6736 English as of yesterday.

Ahh, but will it update your game fully with all the patches you haven't installed yet? Basically, I've only patched once. I've completely stayed away from patches because of the introduced skill enhancement bug and the SecureROM issues, but it seems most of the bugs have been cleared up. Will the autopatcher install all the patches I've missed?

That's my understanding. I believe they actually have many patch sets that will take you from whatever version you're on to the current version.

BTA's correct.

There does seem to be an issue though. Sometimes when I attempt to update, the file fails to uncompress, so the patch program switches over to the (much slower) Infogrames server and downloads the patch again.
