I am at the top of horst tower(Lusken) and have been through Maugrim's(sp) lair. I assume you are to take on Aribeth and co. as you can see them on the other side of the gate... but I don't have the key to open the door and this is one of the gates you cant bash...
Am I confused as to what I am to do here, or where can I find the key or how can I cheat (I hate doing that) the key into my game.

You are supposed to just sit and watch what unfolds, and the gate should open afterwards. I have heard of bugs where the gate doesn't open though, but if Aribeth etc. are still there, just wait.

Ok. ill try it and post/edit the results here.

Well I tried waiting for some thing to happen. both before and after I went into maurgrm's lair. I think I spent 10 plus minuts each way. After that I tried reinstalling the game and the pach to see if that helped. No dice everyone just sits there.
Any other Ideas?

So, you walk up to the gate, and there is no conversation between Aribeth and Maugrim (I think that's who's there)? If the conversation doesn't happen, then I'm not sure what you do...

that is correct, nothing happens. I am going to try one mor trick to see if I can get past this. If it works I'll tell you.

Do you have a ranged weapon? If I remember right you can fire through the fence and trigger the end sequence that way.

Well My Idea didnt work so not much point in saying what it is. Capt. Tripps, I do and will try it.

Yes It works. I know I carry that bow for a reason. I didnt get to see any dialog but at least I can go on with the story.
