I hope I'm posting this to the right forum. I bought this game some time ago and I already played the game through. Three or four months ago I had to reformat my computer so I lost all my saved game information. I just decided to reinstall NWN on my computer but I don't want to have to play the whole game over again to access the information on the official game modules. Can someone please tell me how to bypass that? Thank you in advance.

Thanks Silverblade, I appreciate the help, friend ;) Sorry If I am a little dense here, but I am having trouble figuring out how to install the chapter unlocker. I read the instructions that say to extract nwnu.exe in my Neverwinter Nights installation dir. but I can't find where that is. Can somebody give me a little more direction please? Thanks again

I don't remember the default install directory, probably C:\Program Files\BioWare\Neverwinter Nights\ or something similar. Anyways, just right click on a NWN shortcut, either on your desktop or start menu, select Properties, and look at the Start in: field. This is the directory you want.

The default is C:\NeverwinterNights

I'm still not getting it to work. The instructions for the zip file say

"Extract nwnu.exe in your Neverwinter Nights installations dir and run it. All chapters will now be open"

how exactly do I do this? I cannot find the "installations dir" Sorry for the trouble, but I have tried quite a few different things and i can't see to make it work. Thanks again for the help.

If you have installed Neverwinter Nights into C:\games\Neverwinter for example, the installation folder is C:\games\Neverwinter. There is no folder inside called instalations or anything, because it sounds like you thought so.

Well, go on the search function and type in "nwmain". A file should appear, now you shall look at the directory of the file, remember it, and extract the chapter unlocker in this directory.

Thanks for your help everyone, but I found an easier way :) I will tell you incase anyone else has the question.

go into the file nwnplayer.ini and add this line under [Game Options] "hacktastic"

worked like a charm!

Uh, that's what that chapter unlocker does, just FYI. We could have told you as much but since you had problems even finding the install directory no one assumed you would be comfortable editing files in it.

Running an exe-file is not that easy!! :p ;)
