Ok, my HD decided it no long wanted to play nice. In order to keep from losing everything on the drive, I upgraded to XP Pro from ME (if I didn't, I would have had to use the restore disk and reformatted the drive). Anyway, whenever I start NWN, it gives me an error message stating that it can't find the version info and that I should run the updater. I hit OK and ir starts the loader menu, the ver info displays 2.00. When I run updater, it tells me that there is no update available since I have a higher ver than what is available (1.29, which is the 'real' version I have).

So...uhm...anyone know a way around this so I don't have to deal with this error message AND so I will be able to patch once the next one comes out?

I doubt anything short of reinstalling the game will help. Going from ME to XP is a big difference to most programs. Or games, for that matter.

Yep, that is what I had to do. At least I don't have to play the game over again.
