Now I read the topic about romancing a spymaster and it got me thinking. So far I believed that NWN was based on the core rulebooks only (PHB, DMG and MM).
But, considering the spymaster, it's a prestige class from Song & Silence (a guidebook on bards and rogues).

There is also an Intellect Devourer which is from the Psionicist Handbook (or whatever the true title is), and of course the setting is Forgotten Realms, so the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting... Probably many others.

As far as I know, the 'spymaster' is his job, not his character class. The game rules in place are all based on what is in the PHB and DMG. Not all of the monsters are from the Monster Manual, but they were obviously around in older editions.

While the game is set in the FR, I don't see any evidence that the FRCS specific rules have been implemented.
