My wife has an HP 6736 w/4mb onboard video... the bios only supports adding 1mb to it, and it uses an intel 8xx series chipset. Are there any utilities that would allow it to pull more system memory (it has 256mb), or allow NWN to run properly on her PC? It currently runs Win XP Office, and the game will either load, but run very slowly, or lock-up, depending. I've tried to find utilities to allow it to pull more memory, to no avail... I've just gotten down downloading both the bios and video driver upgrades, hoping those will help.

The requirement is 16 mb 3D card, and I doubt there is any other way to run the game than physicly install a better video card. In you on-board computer, that will be difficult though.

Disable the onboard graphic card and buy & install a GeForce. That's the only thing that will help.

I've not got problems with the Game, but rather the intro video, you know the one before each chapter?
It stutters, although the game works fine (with minor hacking/stuttering, but by no means as much as the intro's).
Help!

Change the corresponding line to SafeMovie=0
in your nwn.ini file. I believe that should help :)

Skyrayper, I had the *exact* same problem...well, almost exactly the same. I have a HP 6830 w/ a crappy onboard video chip. Anyway, I bought a GeForce2 MX 400 for $48 ($58 w/ tax and shipping)! It is easily the best computer-related purchase I hae *ever* made. I strongly recommend it as a midrange gaphics card for someone who doesnt want to spend a ton...go to www.enpc.com (http://www.enpc.com) - good luck!

Definitely. I use it myself. Best purchase I ever made.
