Has anyone other than me bought them? So far they seem very cool - I look forward to trudging through them over the next couple of weeks. Anyone have any comments or reviews on them?

In case you're wondering what I'm talking about, Bioware has released 3 downloadable expansions on their website for purchase (12 bucks for all 3 - not too shabby). They are called Kingmaker, Shadowguard, and the Witch's Wake (this is the complete version of the one already released).

So anyway...opinions?

I played the original Witches Wake, and although I may take some flak for this, I didn't find it all too impressive. It plays like a crappy version of Planescape Torment.

I can't comment on the others though.

Spellbound is playing through them and will post reviews of them all on SP in the upcoming weeks.

I'm in the process of my second go-through of Kingmaker. The first time through I was a female fighter, now I'm a male sorcerer. I think the module is really well done -- particularly the voicing and storyline. Quite a few surprises along that vein. The combat is pretty tough in spots -- (I bit the dust 3 times this morning already.) I'm finding that playing a sorcerer is more difficult, but then I don't think that's particular to this module.

I think the replayability of Kingmaker is tremendous, as there is a choice of which NPCs to take with you, and what quests to do. I was unable to complete all the quests the first time through, as the game is on a timer, before the Lord's election occurs. There's quite a few quests too, so you could replay with the same party and do different quests, or change your party and do the same quests, etc. etc. It's been lots of fun so far!

I'll be writing up a review as soon as I've completed this pass through -- but, overall, for the hours of gameplay I've experienced, it's definitely worth the money.
