I was under the assumption (from reading various websites) that NWN was not a persistant world.. i.e. you have one player design a dungeon (i.e. be the dungeon master) and they other players play it over an internet connection..

now I am reading about these guilds and it sounds like they are promoting a persistent world...

???

Well there is no official game world. You obviously know that players can create their own areas and campaigns. Persistant worlds can also be created on multiple servers if people are willing to put such time and effort into them. This is where all the guilds you are reading about come into play. No, they don't have their own persistant game worlds. But they are all guilds of players in the ALFA persistant game world. ALFA is a selective membership group of players and DM's that are recreating some or most of the Forgotten Realms campaign setting for NWN online play. Check it out and apply if you're interested. *Lord knows someone should get in if I can't :(*

Keep the faith Crawl. I could help you in your prayers to Rillifane if you would like. I think it helps. I suggest you start like this: Oh mighty Rillifane i know that I am unclean outsider not being of elvin descent. I beg you to please take pity on this poor wretch of a specimen of a (insert your race here) and would happily accept any kind of curse or geas that you would deem fit for your most holy and gratious aid in helping me pass these great doors that bar my passage to greener fields blessed with your presence. It is in this way that i pray to you oh holy Rillifane.

I also suggest promising your self as a servant to one of the paladins in Rillifane's service, but that is only a suggestion take it or leave it. ;)

I'm with Crawl on this one. Granted, my first submission was during the time they weren't reviewing apps, so I submitted again. I'm am serverely disappointed that I haven't been accepted yet. I wish I knew what their basis was on, especially since I have been playing the game and RPing in general since probably before some of those that are reviewing my app. Heh. Well, I guess will see if my first fell through a crack somewhere.

Bah! Uppity eyeball ;) I don't need no stinkin Rillifane...just a foolproof application. I'm beginning to think they rejected me just because I wanted to play a fighter/mage. Hmmmm...maybe I should be a gnomish fighter. They they might actually except me with such a lowly class :D

First of all it isnt the class and you are an unclean outsider. Try a bard there is a post that we need them, but who really would want to be a bard. My suggestion is to Pray to Rillifane and work on becoming one with nature and getting contacted by druids to become one or if you would like we could get to geather and you could see if Calling lightening to strike thee would awaken any potential of natural arcane powers you might have.

I personally think that the second option is your best one.

hmmm *looks around for some soap to scrub the outsider dirtyness off of him* Oh, my humble apologies oh wise Elven one. Your idea of getting together with the druids is a wonderful one indeed. Perhaps I should commune with nature and prance about with all the forest creatures. Or perhaps someone's feeblemind spell has affected your brain. Methinks the gods have smiled on you this day indeed by sending me as your savior. Now hold still, this will only hurt for a second...*readies an imprisonment spell*
