I saw one on the Discovery channel the other day. Cute olms you have in those caves, Tal :D

Heh. What's an olm? I presume it was about the blind cave salamanders... or some other indigenous species we have here. Not much else of interest in any of the caves here. ;)

IIRC Olms are a blind subkind of amphibians.
I'm sure if there is a better known word in english for those animals Darien will finaly enlighten us. ;)

Headbanger what you mean is elm.

Um... Did anyone read that I said just that?

Tal, when you say nothing of interest in caves...

You should check that Postojna cave (if I remember well, that one is in Slovenia, but that was long time ago...).
I visited number of caves - there is nothing in the whole world like Postojna cave. Move your butt there for a weekend and bring some extra clothes - inside is prety cold. ;)

About that "not interesting" blind "olm" - that one is endemic creature and lives only in caves within two countries: Slovenia and of course, Croatia. It is extremely rare so if you saw it live (not on TV) like me, consider yourself lucky. And it is forbidden to hunt it or kill it.

The blind cave salamander IS from Postojna cave. Doh. I feel like I'm speaking in tongues here...
