I was just wondering if any of you have played Sierra's The Realm (an online game).
It was released shortly after Meridian 59, so you'd have to be around for a while to even know what it is/was.
If you do, however, post some details about it... I've started to feel nostalgic about it when I read about Meridian 59 closing.

I bata tested The Realm but never actually got to play once it got moving. It was alright but it was a little cheesy looking. Of course, like I said it was pretty new at the time. I really liked the idea of the game and had a lot of fun forming parties on-line. There were only a few screens at the time rather than the full world screens but I enjoyed it anyway. Actually, there's a game out there now that is very similar but the graphics are WAAYYY better, called Asheron's Call. You need to have the game and pay to play on-line but it's very similar.

Yea I know...
I've been playing it since it was pre-alpha so I was quite fond of it. I remember the time when we had just 3 monsters in the whole game... lol.
Wolf, Troll, Demon Troll.
DT hunt was the best.

Mmm-hmm. And we only had 3 characters to choose from too. A whole town of these 3 people walking around..... with maybe 4 or 5 colors to choose from... :D Oh well, it was fun!

I've played, and own, "Lords of the Realm 2". Does that count?

Nope.
Lords of the Realm is a strategy game...
The Realm was an online RPG...
Too bad I don't have any more screenshots of it.
