View Full Version : My Restaurant Is Now Open!
Crawl Wed, 21st Feb '01, 6:54am Yes, that's right, you people heard it hear first(where else would you hear it?). I have finally opened up my first restaurant. It's launch date was Monday, February 19. It's been a lone road with a lot of ups and downs. We were only a month and a half behind schedule. But I'm glad the day has finally come when I can announce it here. I am happy, exausted, worn, etc. But it's all coming together. And I think it will be all worthwhile. Pizza Kitchen No. 1 is now open. Smilies all around :D :D :D.
Vandalore Wed, 21st Feb '01, 7:46am woohoo con'grads man
A few of my friends have been looking to start their own businesses. Personally, I know I wouldn't have the patience. Best of luck to you in your business.
Silroth Wed, 21st Feb '01, 10:31am Congrats!! Don't forget to post some pizzas here for the needy :) :) :)
Lo Wed, 21st Feb '01, 12:52pm Can we have the address? Do we get a special deal? Will we get the whole tour of the place? :D
It's great when a dream like that comes to life, well done and keep on dreaming of bigger and better things. May your resaurant be the best one in town!
What sort of restaurant is it btw? Do u have a favorite recipe u want to share with u? Do u want us? Am I asking too many questions? :)
Good luck and bon appetite to all your customers!
Sir Belisarius Wed, 21st Feb '01, 12:57pm I like Lo's idea! Can we have a secret word so if we're ever in Louisiana we can get discounts?
Or should we just go in and say: "Where's Crawl?"
By the way...Congratulations! Entrepreneurship is a beautiful thing!
Darien Noella Wed, 21st Feb '01, 2:49pm YAY, CRAWL!!!
I'm so happy for you! Here's lots of good wishes for fun and money. Go Forth and Prosper! LOL Good luck!
Satiana Fearbringer Wed, 21st Feb '01, 5:49pm Cool. I hope you are successful, if not rolling in the doe. Hard work though in the beginning will pay off in the end!
Congrats!
Blackthorne TA Wed, 21st Feb '01, 6:22pm Hey that's sweet Crawl. I noticed you already have expansion plans in mind since you called it Pizza Kitchen #1 :) That's the right way to think!
Septic Yogurt Wed, 21st Feb '01, 8:32pm I hope you haven't put a #1 on the sign, that would make you look really arrogant :D
nice going btw.
Duskai Wed, 21st Feb '01, 10:22pm mmm.....cheese
masj Thu, 22nd Feb '01, 7:28am well done Crawl. I've worked in hospitality, or the service industry for the last 10 years and know how tough it is. I hope it is rewarding and financially viable :)
P.S. 'course I couldn't wish for it to be stress free :D
Crawl Sun, 25th Feb '01, 6:36am Ah, my first week is over. Thank you, thank you. I am beat. Business has been amazing so far. We are constantly rolling out food to the point that we can't hardly keep up. Our name is the hottest topic in town, and everyone I've spoken too thus far (except for a few naysayers) have been very complimentary toward the food. I think I have some great recipies down if you ask me, and please do by the way. If you ever travel through Louisiana and see Pizza Kitchen No. 1, mention Sorcerer's Place and get a discount :).
Anyway, I'll throw out a few dishes and descriptions just to wet your apetites. Our deluxe pizza dough is seasoned with my own seasoning and brushed with freshly made garlic butter before being topped with house made tomato-basil sauce, cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, banana peppers, mushrooms, carmalized onions and more cheese. For sandwiches, try a Thai Chicken Wrap: sweet and spicy chilie plum glazed fried chicken with lettuce, a cucumber-onion-tomato salad, and spiced peanuts wraped up in a whole wheat tortilla. And for salads we have spinach tossed with a apple-bacon-ginger dressing topped with feta cheese, apples, bacon, and spiced walnuts. I would throw out a recipie for one of the restaraunt's dishes, but then I don't want my secret out ;). Sorry. Anyway, thanks for all your posts on the subject. If you don't see me around for long periods at a time, you'll know why as I'll be working my @$$ off at the restaurant. Hope to see some of you there at some point. Thanks again.
Taluntain Sun, 25th Feb '01, 10:54am Aaargh. Stop that. You're making my mouth water. Just reminded me how hungry I am since I haven't had breakfast today yet. *food quest begins*
Crawl Mon, 26th Feb '01, 5:27am Heh, sorry Tal.
Darien Noella Mon, 26th Feb '01, 5:36am Mmmm..That sounds perfect! I'll take a chicken wrap, but could you hold the peanuts? Ick... :D
Vandalore Mon, 26th Feb '01, 8:32am I'm with you Darien, I don't like peanuts either.
Vandalore Mon, 26th Feb '01, 8:34am But the chicken wrap sounds good!

In my town there is a turkish pizzaria, and they have the unique turkish pizza, called 'pizza sucuk' , It's whit a lot of cheese, an egg on top of it and then some slices of greasy spicy 'meat' (don't know that in english)
