Yes, pasta is good, but good slash makes you die and go to the Department Of Those Who Have Blacked Out Because Of Good Aragorn/Boromir SLASH.

Haha.

 The horror! BTA edited one of my posts!!! I am just shocked...Shocked, I say!

By the way...As I was telling Dudette last night in chat, it's been 17 years since I've taken French..."Cousine" looks to have disappeared from my working vocabulary. :p ;)

I haven't eaten anything that's killed me and sent me to heaven, although I had a nasty sushi episode a while back... But I'm feeling MUCH better now!

Seriously, I have eaten some excellent Italian, Chinese, Greek, German, Mexican, Spanish, and Indian food. I've never been outside of the US though, so I can't tell if the cuisine is "authentic" or not. I've never tried French or Uranian food.

I have two female cousins in Italy, Rome. We went there -97 and it was very nice. My parents dragged me down to the market every morning to buy newly made pasta, salami, erm.. parmaskinka aso.
We ate pasta 5 days and pizza the rest o the days...WONDERFUL!

Spaghetti, pizza and other Italian food is great, but I think I prefer to eat Asian food, as long as it's spicey. But on the other hand, nothing beats my father's lasagna.

While we're all wondering whether we're talking about food or female cousins; This reminds me that a Japanese restaurant in Manchester is planning to arrange nyataimori nights (starting tonight, apparently). Cash out £75 to eat food placed on the bodies of two nude women. Riiiight... (I wonder if they serve drinks on them as well ;) ).

So if you do have a french cousin - why not use her as a plate? ;)

BTW, I hate everything with warmed tomato in it, it makes you fart for 4 hours. On the other hand Chinese food is great

Well, my cousine and I were taking a walk the other day and she raplyed so hard, she fell on her ass! It was hilarious!

Okay, The best food I've ever had was when I lived in Hong Kong-You could get almost any oriental food there authentic (though eels on the sidewalk in a washtub WAS a little disconcerting.) The noodles...mmmmm.

Judging just by the title of the thread cousine, I thought Padeen was in search of a long lost relative! :D

Nope, never been to Europe before to taste their fine recipes. But of all those italian food you listed, how did you manage to forget LASAGNA!!??

Right - a normal response... ;)

I'm a big fan of Thai myself, and I'm not too keen on Italian food. Maybe it has something to do with the local Italian restaurants not being worth neither time nor money, I don't know. Some Vietnamese dishes are also good, simple and fun. Ever tried Nem?

Dragonjewel13: "The best food I've ever had was when I lived in Hong Kong-You could get almost any oriental food there authentic"Always good to know that you can get oriental food in the Orient! ;) :p

I still think the best food I've had was in Italy, New Orleans (Cajun Rocks!) or in Quebec. It had a French feel, I like it a lot!

Okay then I'll clarify. In Hong Kong, you can get more than just authentic chinese food....though you can get quite a bit of that...it's such a diverse place, they've got great thai, indian...well, maybe not japanese (for obvious reasons). BUT not every asian country has authentic oriental food.
Meanie-head.

Give my regards to your cousine as well.

"Okay then I'll clarify. In Hong Kong, you can get more than just authentic chinese food"

Oh, yes.

Yes.

Yes, you can definately get quite a bit more than just authentic chinese food.

You can get some very, very, very, very impressive, authentic, Chinese Food. It is outstanding in every way, shape, and form. Worth experiencing at least once in your lifetime.

Sir B., it sounds like you could use a week trip to Hong Kong.

Hmmmmm.

Maybe Patya Beach. I dunno what Hong Kong is like now the Chinese have taken over it.

I shudder at the thought. We just went to Central and wandered the streets til we found a good-looking place. Went to Kowloon a lot. They had a neat museum. But I dream of going back.

EJ - If I went to Hong Kong, I'd go for a month...If I'm going to fly halfway across the world...I'd stay a while!

Actually, I think my next trip will be to France or Russia.

France - Because I want to see Paris, and maybe some battle sites from WW2 like: Normandy, Bastogne, etc..

Russia - Because because it's been 10 years since I've been there and my Russian is getting rusty!
