Despite only being a freshman in high school, I am taking the SAT2 in biology tomorrow and have taken the SATs.
Could you guys relate to me your test-taking experiences? I tend to think I'm getting too worked up about these tests, when I should be concentrating on exams.

Hmmmm - The bar exam was the hardest test I've ever taken by far...Everything else pales in comparison.
The SAT's are tough - just go with your first choice, don;t second guess yourself...

Finaly's week right? We're both in the same boat pretty much. I'm not taking any SAT but I do have test's to take.
The best advice I can give you is to get sleep. If I'm not mistaken the SAT's are for seeing what you know right out of your head. Sleep is the best study thing I have found. Go to bed and hour eirlier so that when you wake in the morning your not so tired as you usualy are in the morning.

I was going to take the ACT last year(freshman year) but didnt get the forms filled out and sent in soon enough.
The best thing I can tell you ... Dont worry about the tests, as sir Bel said, dont second guess yourslef, go with your first choice, and also get plenty of sleep.

I was in the exact same boat you are in just one year ago. A freshman in high school, I took the bio SAT II...and got a 660! I'm pretty happy with that result, and in 9 short hours, I will be taking another three: Math IC, World History, and Writing.
Words of advice: calm down! If you relax, you'll do much better.
The most important test-taking tip ever: After reading through every answer provided, go with your first instinct!!! It will most likely be correct.

I also took for SATs for the first time in 9th grede. I found them harder then even the GREs for grad school. Or should I say they appeared to be the same challenge level and I was 6 years smarter.
It's a lot of repatition. Just learn the form of the questions and the rest is easy. Either you know it or you don't. You can't really study, excpet for the structure of the test; which I highly encourage you to do.
Do calm and do the part you are best at first, i.e. math or verbal. That way you won't get stuck and run out of time on the other section.
BTW what is a SAT II? We had ACTs back in the 80's but I never heard of a SAT II.

I think SAT IIs are more specific. For example, my SAT II was just on Biology.
And it was OK by the way. Thanks for the support all.

World History: What a ***** of a test. I worked my ass off studying for it and screwed up...
Math IC: Pretty good.
Writing: Pretty good.
