A while back, my PDA (an HP Jornada) got stolen (more bad luck I know).

I've finally saved up enough to buy a new one, and was looking for a suggestion.

The Visor by Handspring as the Trio

I know some people how have IPac's by Compq, but that is very pricy.

Anyone have one of these toys? Got any suggestions for a poor cleric?

Mathechusetts,

I've had a Casio Cassiopeia PV200-A and a Palm m105. I prefered the Casio for ease of use. It was easy to operate one-handed (my CELL PHONE in my other hand, pervert), the software was very user friendly, the sync program was great, and its battery life was longer. Downside was that it was kind of clunky, the light doesn't stay on long enough, there's no Graffiti writing system so all data was entered on a keyboard or by syncing with my computer, and I ended up cracking the screen after a series of falls. It also wasn't expandable, so no downloading kewl programs off the internet.

The Palm was more stylish, had tons of downloads and that rot, was smaller, and had an IR port. Downside was that there was no such thing as one-handed operation (my CELL PHONE I told you!), it loses everything when the batteries die, and the sync program is a pain.

I'd advise checking out Casio's new line of PDAs. (They're not making the PV-200 anymore.) They switched to the Palm OS, and I expect by now they're more expandable. If they retain their user-friendliness I'd take the Casio over a Palm or Handspring any day.

Shralpabama,

It's not the fact that you had a cellphone in your other hand that concerns us, but more like what you've been doing to it so that you drop and crack you Casio :p .

Sharlp-a-licious ...

You could get an ear-piece for your cell-phone, freeing your other hand for a cup of coffee or a bear-claw. :thumb:
