Psycho. the fanged rabbit
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 12:24am
I know my name is wierd so I'm going two explain it. Well I love the name psycho but thats just two boring so I thought of my favorite movie "Monty Python & the Quest for the Holy Grail", and anybody who has seen that movie has to love the psycho rabbit that jumps around kills half of the knights. It's the best.

Brega
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 12:25am
Oh yeah, that vicious killer rabbit, killed 5 men it did!! Pure Golders, that!!!

Sniper
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 12:52am
By careful thought...took me a good half-day to think of my name.

fuoco
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 1:20am
fuoco means fire in italian. my astrologist told me i need more "fire element" to balance my heavy "water" :)

Mathetais
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 1:32am
Mine is a koine greek word meaning Disciple or Student. I came up with the name in seminary when I was choosing a screen name or the first time (back in 1992). When registering for SP, the name jumped back to me and I used it.

I almost used my old character's name "Sacrafix" . . . but I think Mathetais fits me a little better.

Xenecor
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 2:07am
Character name throughout Baldur's Gate series. Took me 4 hours to come up with it.

The Deviant Mage
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 2:12am
I have no idea. I use the name 'Vargx' on all the other message boards and such that I do.

Deviant is from BG2 and it sums up my personality pretty well.

ArtEChoke
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 3:10am
the punchline was: Arty Chokes, 3 for a dollar.

Kitiara
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 3:22am
well.. mine is fairly obvious to any true fantasy lover.

It is taken from the dragonlance chronicles although phsically i look alot more like tika, my personality is more like Kitiara :D

Modjahed
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 9:21am

Gormenghast
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 12:12pm

Athalon
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 12:35pm
AMD Athlon, just added an A to it

The Fat Egg
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 12:45pm
i believe ive answered a topic like this. its because my head is egg-shaped and i used to be fat, so put it together and you get fategg, at least that was my logic behind it.

Gash
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 1:38pm
Well the answer to my name can be found at the following URL:

:D :D :D :D

Sir Belisarius
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 4:04pm
I was knighted in England years ago when I saved the Prince from a terrorist attack, so I have to use "Sir" now...Oh wait, that was a Tom Clancy book I read...Sorry.

Belisarius was the name of the first AD&D character I ever had...Who just happened to be a paladin! Surprise, Surprise!! The "Sir" looked pretty cool, and I didn't want to be as pretentious as Moeken and put "Lord" in front of it!!! :D :D ;)

kemanmaldea
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 4:15pm
Mine is a congloneration of Dragon names in a book done by Anne McCaffery and Mercedes Lacky titled Elvenbane.

Tasohan
Thu, 9th Aug '01, 7:15pm

Psycho. the fanged rabbit
Tue, 14th Aug '01, 4:40am
just sence we are on the topic usernames I think alot of you got to agree with me that one of the coolest usernames is septic yogurt. So if you are reading this septic yogurt "sweet name".

Tasohan
Tue, 14th Aug '01, 6:31am
Yep cool name. Weird avatar though what is it?

Maldir
Tue, 14th Aug '01, 9:24am
Harton Maldir is a name I've used in P&P and LARP; it just came out of nowhere, but I think it's a good name - simple, but with no obvious origin.

Zaragoth
Tue, 14th Aug '01, 9:33am
I sat down thinking of a cool name. I looked in a Black Metal magazine and saw that the singer in Dimmu Borgirīs name is Shagroth (or Shagrath).
I didnīt want to use the same name, so I thought out something that sounded pretty much like it! :)

And thatīs the story of Zaragoth - Your lord and master, who you must obey unless you buy me a toothpicker.

ehh. bye.

It looks a guy of somesort. In a way it kinda looks like a ice cream man wich I think is kinda funny considering his name septic yogurt.

Llandon
Wed, 15th Aug '01, 4:05pm
If I remember correctly Llandon is the name of an Elf fighter from one of the old "chose you're own adventure" D&D novels from the early 80's.

shadow_thief
Wed, 15th Aug '01, 6:02pm
Mine is pretty obvious...

Voltric
Wed, 15th Aug '01, 7:42pm
Why do I feel like I alread answered this question? I think there was a thread simular flooting around before, oh well.

Voltric is the name of a character I played in a fantasy LARP during college. After five years 'Voltric' was the second strongest cleric in the land. I enjoyed playing the character but final retired him when I moved on to other things.

Divine Shadow
Wed, 15th Aug '01, 7:53pm
DS is the ultimate kewl villain from Lexx.

Fljotsdale
Wed, 15th Aug '01, 8:17pm
When I first got a modem and had to think up a 'username' (I didn't want to use my real name), every name I came up with had been 'taken' and I could only use it if I put lots of numbers after it - like Minerva6005 - so I was getting desperate. I have a bookcase next to my computer. I used to do Old Icelandic at university. There was this book called 'The Fljotsdale Saga'.
Funny thing - nobody else used it!
So I stuck with it. It's become as much my own name as my 'real' one, lol!

Thalantyr
Wed, 15th Aug '01, 8:26pm
I took mine from Bladur's Gate.

Alyr Arkhon
Wed, 15th Aug '01, 10:32pm
From a hungarian heroic fantasy serie. Alyr Arkhon is a half elf necromancer. He is cynical and has a morbid humour. "Great" hero...

perry lightfoot
Sat, 18th Aug '01, 10:51am
after the great hobbit hero, u must have heard of him

Silverblade
Sat, 18th Aug '01, 11:05am
I just put two words together. I had my real name as username at first, but since everyone else had a "fantasy name" I decided to take one too.

Darien Noella
Sat, 18th Aug '01, 4:28pm
Darien I chose simply because I like the sound of it. Trouble is, like Fljotsdale mentioned, it has already been used a million times. So I tacked on a surname. Noella is the middle name of my youngest daughter, after my Grandmother (who was born on Christmas). Et voila! :)

Avooch Dar
Sat, 18th Aug '01, 8:49pm
Can't really explain my name. It was supposed to sound like Avook Dar but after a certain pooch reference i have since discovered that it sounds quite funny that way.

idoru
Mon, 20th Aug '01, 11:01pm
mine isn't fantasy at all.. it's just the title of a book by william gibson... in there, the idoru is a virtual pop star.. she doesn't exist, or does she? Ah sweet philosophy. Anyway, I feel sort of stupid about it not really suiting a bg forum, but it's just more convenient this way, coz this is the nick I use on whatever forum I'm on. I considered using my protagonist's name, but I've never been good with coming up with good ones.. my bg2 swashbuckler halfelf was aegorowon, coz I thought it'd be elvish with something you can't pronounce (I know, I know). Right now I'm playing bg1 with cleric/illusionist gnome Rilebold, which is at least somewhat better methinks, except I get a feeling I stole it form somewhere.

Will
Thu, 23rd Aug '01, 1:22am
My name is William. Those with whom I am familiar refer to me as Will. I figured that subtlety was the best policy and refrained from using a name like Marquis Torgenbrassna Illithidhysterectomy III, using my ordinary name instead.

Mollusken
Thu, 23rd Aug '01, 10:01am
My friend and I created an animal called a mollusk. It lived in bushes near hills (allthough the vicious squids which ate mollusks lived there) and hat funny hats and hair behind their ears. They always appeared in large numbers, and if they could get their hands on a hammer, you better not be a squid looking for a meal.

Mollusken it was.

H
Mon, 10th Sep '01, 2:59am
I can tell you i was not on my 5 senses when i wrote " H " but anyway... :D

Azirath
Mon, 10th Sep '01, 3:15am
Darien provided me with a site with all kinds of dnd names, and after rolling the dice I got Azi (Silver), and rath (Arcane), hence my name and avatar.

Shadow_Goddess
Mon, 10th Sep '01, 3:33am
Ok, I'm *shadow_thief*...posted before and now post again. I had the idea of hell angel but so many people had "angel" that i decided I wanted something different. One of the books I read talked a lot about "the Great Mother Goddess" and shadow I got from shadow thief.

Sparhawk
Mon, 10th Sep '01, 9:01am
I read a load of David Eddings books and a lot of them have Sparhawk as the main character.
