Look at the swarms of hungry junk-flies gather around all of this! We like to talk about cooking! Culinary arts! Culinary arts! Yummy good food like rice pudding! I'm no hypocrite! Let's talk some Betty Crocker, because that's what's IMPORTANT to an RPG site, especially an esteemed one like this beautifully woven universe...

So clever...did you use your bow?

Archer14
Sat, 17th Nov '01, 5:41am
What is that supposed to mean?

One would need the help of an earthly object when genes are to no avail...

Please speak normal English.

Alright - here's some 'normal Enlish', or, rather, a mockery thereof:

"Duhhhhhhhhhhhhh....
Say what? A huh huh huh"

Good? More to top it off? This is the place to do it. Or we can talk about cooking! Wheeeeee!

I think before our friend whent off the deep end, perhaps he did have a good point in his head. These boards have become a bit spam happy in recent months after the mods quit coming down so hard on spam. I'm not saying these boards are run poorly. Far from it as I think Tal, BTA, Darien, and the rest do a fine job here. But there is alot of senseless spamming, and alot of encouragement from people who shouldn't be.

However, whatnots is a place for the discussion of miscl topics my newbie friend. If you want to talk about RPG related things, go ahead. There are plenty of people to discuss them with. There are forums for a vareity of games, and one devoted to PnP DnD gaming in specific. So there are a variety of places to discuss RPG topics with plenty of people to discuss them with. I think discussion of a variety of issues makes this place as interesting as it is. I just want the posters to strive for quality rather than quantity. Just an opinion (that certainly doesn't apply to everyone...don't flame me with "but...but...I post quality etc....I ain't talking about you).

Sorry about that, Crawl - got a bit carried away. Matter of fact it got dropped off of a mountain. I find it hard not to be sarcastic when discussing some of those stupid things people write on the topics list. They hoard their little collections of vanity and shove it in our faces. This may be a part of the site I'll not return to, although the rest is a blessing to the poor cursed, sardonic souls that frequent its taverns.

Ok, let me refrase this. SAY SOMETHING THAT MAKES SENSE!!!:flaming::mad::grr:

Archer - all I was saying is that this part of the site is bogged by things gamers don't care about! I made fun of your little rolling-eyes smiley by sarcastically saying you were clever. Your name is Archer, so I asked if you used your bow. You still didn't understand so I went on like an idiot rambling about how without some help, you could never get anywhere with your brain. Then the voice of reason involved itself and I was reminded that this part of the site is needed for morons to dispel their involuntary youths...oh, sorry...that was another of those not-understandable things, wasn't it? I mean that this is for the die-hard RPGers to get rid of the idiot thoughts, like what kind of rap music is best. Every site needs one. I have changed my opinion. Change yours. Stop worrying, man. Boy am I long-winded.

Now I can understand what you were saying. Thank you:). I just didn't get what a bow had to do with being clever(I still don't but oh well) and it went on and on from there. Thank you for clearing up what you said. I have no more complaints.

No, no, no. No need to be subtle. Tell me that I'm an *******! I was wrong there - you have done nothing. I need to be pinched out of my dream of insults.....

No he shouldn't. Since flaming is not allowed here. As Crawl said this is whatnots forum. For what is NOT roleplaying. Enough of this though. You mention Betty Crocker. Some of us don't now this "women" so I looked it up for those interested. Betty's (http://www.bettycrocker.com/)

Roleplayers and computer gamers could learn some tricks here. Throw away the junk food guys and girls, cause Betty's coming your way :p

EDITED HERE: I do like the comparison you make Xaelifir, consious or not, of food/Junk food and wisdom/spamming. :thumbs up: Sarcasm, on the fly, should be kept at a minimum though; since many nationalities and mentalities roam these boards. So things can easily get misunderstood and taken offence of. :)

Obviously only wrongness succeeds from opinion. That is all I have to say, for to be shunned from dessert is to become healthy, albeit painful.

Hmm, some girls told me I'm can cook very well. I hope they didn't lie.

Archer, Xealifer is soooo intelligent that we dón't understand him always. We have to accept that and try to reach the same high level as he already reached :) (yeah I can also be sarcatic :))

You know the problem with Culinair art? It indeed is Art. But when you wrote a great poem or made a wonderful painting, you keep it so you can always see it again. When you cooked something that is great... you eat it and it is gone. Such a waste of art :)

Let's hear some more Sarcasm here! I love it!

Headbanger -- that's precisely what is beautiful about cooking as an art.

I'm going to play it straight here and actually talk about cooking.

-- you labor long, you create an amazing beautiful thing, and down the gullets of your friends it goes, to become poop in the end. It is fleeting. But how happy you can make people, for those few minutes -- I daresay nothing in the world (well maybe *one* other thing) pleases people so completely as a good meal. Try allrecipes.com, my friends -- you will see.

Xaelifer,
Do you think that reserving one forum out of Twelve for off-topic subjects is excessive?
It's not y'know. If ya don't like the smell, get outta the sewers, goblin boy.

I like junk food and fast food for a number of reasons, one of which is very important: I CAN'T COOK!

Huh? Duh, say what?

Or, translated, did you just try to claim that gamers are not interested in food? Sheesh, man... that's one of the few things besides gaming that we ARE interested in!

Seriously though, we are hardly one-dimensional creatures -- so why should we restrict ourselves to one subject here? Let's not pretend to be something we are not.

I love food. There is nothing wrong with food. Especially when it comes from the sewers. If I weren't so FAT and OBESE I might buy some more SILVERWARE to try and obtain some FOODLIKE PLEASURES. You know, I cooked a cheesecake about an hour ago, and I think my beltline is going to be eclipsed by itself before the night is over...

That's what I love about this forum! I can look up gaming stuff, and learn about neato Baldur's Gate things (the whole reason I came here to begin with) AND I can read diverse views on religion, movies, candy, computers, and whatever else occurs here. That's what keeps me coming back. Gaming is good, and all, but it isn't life. Sooner or later, I'm gonna get sick of playing BG2, but I don't think I'll tire of the interesting conversations and opinions I read here.

I like sarcasm and opinions! They are my personal food. And don't none of you buccaroos even ATTEMPT to deprive me of those or by god there will be some havoc. Hmm... now for the real question... was that sarcastic? Hmmmmm? Well? I'm waiting for the answer - I promise! Really!
