I have heard rumors that a tv-series featuring Darth Maul as it's main hero (!!! love the sith!!!) will come out soon:Is this true?

Darth Maul is the stupidest nemesis in SW saga, he doesnt have background and looks stupidly childlishy "evil" (if im not mistaken he has horns)

That mask of his was probably taken from some movie about diablo.

How about Darth Vader Show? where parents wich gave their children to adoptation could find them over TV on show that is specialised in that thing (ok that is not funny subject)

:) I hope this is true. Darth maul was my favourite character in any of the star wars films and one of my favourite all time baddies. So is it true?

I am not convinced that even Lucas would be stupid enough to endorse a TV series, well saying that he did create the stupid horn face.

Wouldn't it be kinda stupid to have a show featuring a guy who's dead? Yeah, I know you could argue that it would be based BEFORE the movie, but then it wouldn't be very interesting would it? He couldn't have done anything "big", 'cause then the Jedi would have heard of him, but they hadn't...

as for darth maul... i thought he'd been involved in the best fight scene of any star wars film- but then i saw 'clones. count dooku would kick his arse in a second!

Darth maul's defenses:

1.) Jumping off his lil' scooter unhesitatingly before his brief battle with Qui Gon on Tatooine. Real determination.

2.) Cool double ended 'saber.

3.) During the "big" battle with Qui Gon while Qui' meditates behind the force shield or whatever (anyone figure out the actual function of these things?) he paces to and fro like a prize fighter.

4.) I thought the make up looked good in the film, but bad on publicity items like posters, etc. Oh yeah, and those t-shirts mullet head fans wore to opening night. In the movie, though, he was definitely deadly looking.

Stipulations:
I left EI wanting more info on the Sith and who 'Maul was. Was he a lone freak or a member of an as of yet unknown race? Why was it important that the Sith could "reveal themselves" following whatever event was planned between 'Maul and his master, assumably Master/Senator Palpatine. EII sheds limited light on the subject. I don't weant to enter the world of cheap SW paperback extended universe novels if I can, but I may have to...
