????

It's not. It's damn frigid. Down here. I'm currently staying in Melbourne for the June/July holidays and it is bloody freezing. This morning it was 0 degress Celcius. Water freezes at this temperature, and so am I.

Its really hot and sunny here in Ireland.

Most Irish people can't tolerate the sun because of their pale skin. At the moment if you turn over a rock at midday anywhere in Ireland, you'll see four or five little red headed Irish men, and they'll be shouting at you to put their stone back down 'for jaysus sake'. ;)

(I ripped this joke off from a famous Irish comedian who's name I can't remember, but I'm sure he wouldn't be able to remember mine, so no harm done, by jaysus, on ya boy ya, (feel free to add your own other random native Irish sayings if the mood takes you.)) :)

Now that I think about it, this thread belongs in random babblings, no? LNT?

Ferrick, you're a nutcase. I'll agree that May and early June were miserable with all the rain, but the heat this week is beyond ridiculous. Thank God the humidity isn't up to the usual standards or the heat index would be well over 105 F and people would be dropping like flies.

Dude, did you bring a laptop to the beach ? Are you insane ? You should be holding an icecold beer in one hand, and some Portugese babe in the other. :D

It's 24¨C here with occasional breeze. In the sunlight it's about 28¨C. Vaasa being near the ocean, it's a bit cooler and the air is not so dry. Pleasant, I'd say.

It was five minutes ago but now some rain fell just like that, so its not very hot anymore. But its Very humid becouse of all the rain evaporating from the hot grounds.

It'll be sunny in half an hour i bet.

Hot, hot and again hot here in Germany. It's something about 36°celsius.
But the most terrible things are, the small kids at the swimming pools ! Last tuesday when I was at the swimming pool, I saw a three year old child who **** in the pool  . I think, I can never go again into a puplic swimming pool :( .
But the good thing is, that a friend of mine has got a swimming pool at home :D . The bad thing is, that he went on vacation to Italy :sosad: .

Hot today, with rain, which means that later we will have about two million percent humidity. Add to this my lack of central air conditioning, and you get a very very surly man.

I am going to melt.

You're all a bunch of panty waists...try going to a wedding in Las Vegas wearing a black tux in the middle of June...or try driving through Baker, CA in a car with no AC. To day in Northern Utah it's going to be in the upper 80's, and by the end of this week it'll be near 100 degrees...so stop complaining! :rolling:

We had a couple of very pleasant days in the low 90's (32-34C), but then it cooled off so that yesterday through about Sunday will only be in the low to mid 80's (27-29C). At least it's nice and sunny and should actually be quite nice downtown for the Taste of Chicago. :)

@Kitrax: Yesterday it was in the high 90's and last night it was still in the 80's at 11:30 pm. On top of that the humidity is up - not to our usual levels of misery, but still more than you desert-dwelling wimps can handle. :p Today we expect more of the same until a "cold" front moves through with thunderstorms and knocks the temps down 10 degrees.

So who you callin' a pantywaist? You wanna piece o' me? ;)

That's not that cold. We go for about three months every winter without seeing temps that high. It really blows too. ;)

It's raining, and I just had to run outside in a pair of boxers to put the cover on the trampoline. Now that was cold (and rather fun to ;) )

So who you callin' a pantywaist? You wanna piece o' me? Bring it on Mama! I can take you. :p

Anyways, I remember the last time I was down in CA visiting family, it was about 94 degrees and the humidity was around 85-90%. I was sweating just by going outside to get the morning paper. :rolling:

My wife's hometown is always rather warm in Summertime, only around 55 degrees celcius for about 3 months...

Great time to work on the tan! I love summer! Just make sure you're properly hydrated when outside.

Oh, and don't you just love all the rednecks shooting off fireworks a week ahead of time? :D

Audience "How hot is it?"

Johnny Carson "It's so hot outside that Betty Crocker is actually sitting inside her oven trying to stay cool."

It's so hot in south Texas right now that the other day, the glue holding the rear-view mirror onto my windshield in my car melted and it fell off. My car was parked in the shade.

That's pretty damn hot.

It's a good 10 degrees (F) cooler here (Philadelphia) today than it was last week, but it's infinitely more uncomfortable because the humidity is way up. I'll take 95 and dry over 85 and muggy any day!
 <-- that's sweat, not tears!

Well it's freezing here in New Zealand. Coldest weather in I think it was 30 years. Max 13 degrees Celcius.

Well it's freezing here in New Zealand. Coldest weather in I think it was 30 years. Max 13 degrees Celcius. Well, if it were zero degrees you could at least put forth the claim that it was literally freezing but 13? That is practically t-shirt weather by my standards.

Hm - checks weather forecasts for New Zealand - listed cities appear to all have highs of 13 and overnight lows of 7 to 8, and this is July - and this is the coldest weather in 30 years?

This would sort of explain why the New Zealanders whom I have met on my travels in Europe have always looked at me like I am a crazy fool when I wore t-shirts or short sleeved dress shirts when the weather was in the mid-teens. Sigh, It looks like I am going to be broiled this November.

It's nice and cool (70) in Seattle! ... but most importantly, it's SUNNY! (We take every day like that we can get.) Come fall... well let's just say it's typical to get about 4-5 days of sun in 3 months -- monsoon season, big time. :aww:

@ JSBB: At the moment it is 3 degrees out side, which certainly is the coldest we have had in a long long time. And that's out of the wind. Negitive 7 windchill. So it is freezing here in New Zealand. And people look at you strange when you wear shorts and t-shirts in the mid-teens? Strange, I wear shorts and t-shirts in any wheather and never get people looking at me thinking I'm a crazy fool.

@RotKU 3 degrees with a wind chill of -7, well that is somewhat respectable. Coldest I can remember it getting here was around -30 degrees (I don't know what the wind chill factor was but it was bloody cold :) .)
