Mr. Fat Egg has been MIA for some time, so good luck finding that out. Although I think he posted his age somewhere. You can turn up the Search feature of the boards and look through a few dozen of his posts to find it if you wish. ;)

As for me... I'm old enough to drive, drink, smoke and do a few other things potentially hazardous to my health.

herf

that really doesnt tell us anything cuz the ages differ from country to country, i would assume you are about 40 though.

Taluntain

Ouch.
If you think I'm 40 you must think Sylvus is at least 60 then. Heheheh.

Actually I'm about half as old as you make me. Sylvus is a few years older, obviously. You think he'd have the time to hang around here as much if he couldn't do it while he's supposed to be working? *grin*

back to the topic at hand. i myself am 27.

It would seem there are more people on the forums here who are 20+ vs some other boards that seem to be littered with younger players.

Happens everywhere as those with the same mind set seem to flock to the same pond. Thankfully, the more mature and well rounded indivudials have kept this place a secret from all the "PALDINS UNITE!" posters found elsewhere.

Myrthos, what i am saying is most of the people i know above the age of 40 don't even have a P.C. that isn't true for everybody i know above that age, but the majority dont own one, or would even think of maintainig a site.

i suppose that comes from the industry i work in. i worked tech support for about 6 months (thank God thats over with) basicaly taking calls from older folks who could not logon to our website, which was usually a chore. as for helping other co-workers with problems i heard this alot "My P.C. is broken i need a new one"... usually in that case the Monitor was unplugged. that happened numerous times and i am dead serious when i say that.

hey , first of all sniper there is nothing wrong with greebos or goths, that is like saying there is something worng with christians because they pry, i dont really give a **** what peoples preferences are, if i dont like the actual person then i wont be their mate, but if i do like them then i will be their friend no mater what type of person they are, it is not up to you to pass judgement on those who are not the same as you, you have no right whatsoever to call them strange or weird or ****ed up or whatever.
egg man- woooooohooooooo, you say that the people who write guides for the games are gaming gods? that would make me a gaming god of planescape torment, ;)
ther is nothing wrong with useing a guide, we have all done it at certain times...

(i my self am a minor goth, i am not biest towards or against any religious cults or any specific bands or people who do things that i dont do, i dont think that it is right that sniper has judged these people and i feel that he has judged them unfairly)

define normal- well there are a few ways to define normal, you could have the normal in the reflection of a mirror (physics), or you could have the poeples choice of normal, which are things that they see as outrageous, like snipers view of people who listen to slipknot (he says their weird), mostly people think that weirdness as things they themselves wouldnt do, like killing someone or someone reading a dictionay, we all have our own scruples (rules to live our life by) and we obey them but we all have to respect other peoples scruples as well.

Sniper
Sun, 31st Dec '00, 12:20am
Very well spoken and yes i know what you mean. But you did say that we have set our own rules and morals to live by, thus giving us the right to define what we find weird and what we do not. And i didn't mean to cause offence to you...unless you are in my school. Why, because those goths and greebos in my school have this habit of stealing girlfriends, breaking up friendships, trying to start fights and give threats. And because of this, this is how i stereotype goths and greebos. I know that this is a narrow minded way of thinking but to be honest i have not met any other goths and greebos in person and have not been able to obtain other impressions about them.

About the slipknot and marilyn manson thing, I do not like them because the greebos and goths in my school keep on talking about death concerning those bands. And as for manson, well i've heard afew of his songs and songs like "disposable teens" are just plain sick.

So please forgive me for offending you as it is all really down to those greebos and goths in my school

It's temporary. What Syl said is true...Cliche', but true...It makes you stronger in the long run.

Someday soon you'll wake up and remember that you were once happy before you met her too! Speaking from experience.

One last piece of advice (I learned this in college - DO NOT CALL HER FOR ANY REASON)

It can only make things worse. Hang in there!

If any of this works...Please send me $5.00. :D

Fraid i have to call her to apologise...

Y'see after the break up, i wrote a song about her and i let the 'wrong' person see it and well he took the piss out of her and she ran off crying...ruining what was left of the friendship and me feeling really bad. So after consulting afew people i've decided to call her and talk to her in the hope of mending what can be mended...Thing is, is that i still 'love' her and it hurts to see her cry...especially when i was the one who caused it...damn!

I'm confused, why did she break up with you? surely can't just be because it was your birthday. I think that maybe a note would be better than phoning because it is sometimes easier to write what you want to say and, speaking from experience here, a meaningful note melts a ladies heart and seeing it on paper seems more real...she may even phone you if you choose the right words. Here's hoping, good luck.

'Fraid I can't offer any advice, never been in this situation.

Aye, sometimes a single written phrase can say more then a thousand spoken words. Although of course, for some among us it might be wiser to forget about the pen and paper. After all, writing down that single phrase that can make you regain someone's heart is an art, not given to all.

Anyway, before we're getting too melodramatic, I don't think I've answered this poll-question yet, so I'll do it now : 19 (and a half :) )

Well i've done both of those types!
The phone call a disaster...and i'm just awaiting the letter reply.

She dumped me cos she just saw me as a 'good' friend...well not anymore

I loved you; and I probably still do,
And for awhile the feeling may remain-
But let my love no longer trouble you:
I do not wish to cause you any pain.
I loved you; and the hopelessness I knew
The jealousy, the shyness - though in vain
Made up a love so tender and so true,
As may God grant you to be loved again.

Good luck Sniper :)
