Okay folks, first off, the links:

http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/rod_bg2theme.zip
This is the theme itself (2,303Kb).

http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/rod_bg2ss.zip
This is the screensaver which can be a standalone screensaver if you want (2,249Kb). Alas, kit and the other femmes will not like this because it only has the BG2 males in it...but again don't worry Kit...tomorrow you'll have a version containing the girls as well. ;)

Now this is a font-package just in case you have problems with the fonts in the screensaver and the theme. Simply extract them to a temp folder and install them via the Windows Control Panel (Fonts).

NOTES:

a. This is for 1024x768 screens only!!! I didn't include the 800x600 because I simply ran out of time...will include that as an update soon.

b. Although this theme will work using only Plus!, it was designed using Desktop Architect, so go look for it, download it, to make your life easier with these themes :)

c. There are alternate color schemes and wallpapers but I didn't include them to cut down on filesize, but I will again make a better versions soon with multiple choice of color scheme and wallpapers.

d. The "Adult-Oriented Version" is about 90% ready...I'm having some problems with the screensaver, but I expect to finish it by tomorrow or the day after that. ;)

SEQUENCE OF INSTALL:

1. You can install the font-pack first (will make sure you have the necessary fonts).

2. Then install the theme by running the *.EXE file (read the NOTES that pop up when installing the theme...it contains valuable info).

3. Then install the screensaver by running the *.EXE file.

4. If you don't have Desktop Architect installed, go to Control Panel, Desktop Themes, and select the "Rodion's Baldur's Gate II (1024)" theme.

5. Voila! You have it! ;) If you have DA you should have a breeze installing this... ;)

Just post your questions/comments here. have a nice time with my Theme and Screensaver!

Very nice work. I wasn't expecting to get new icon and sounds as well! The only problem I have had is the screensaver won't unzip for me (I get an 'This archive is not a valid Zip Archive' error). I am uzing Enzip. Hopefully it'll just be a problem on my system.

Anyway, thanks again for spending the time and effort on this and sharing it with everyone.

Just DLed it, will install it shortly :)

Edit = Okay, I have but one complaint.

1. The caligraphic text can be difficult to read when browsing in windows explorer, or maybe its just me running my desktop at 1600x1200.

In either case, the theme looks great. I look forward to the 'next' version :D

SECOND VERSION OF MY THEMESET NOW HERE!!!
PLUS, NEW SCREENSAVER, NOW COMPLETE WITH FEMALE CHARACTERS AS WELL (thank Kitiara for this ;)

Links:

http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/rod_bg2theme_v2.zip
This new theme is practically similar with the first theme...the only difference is that the colors of the windows are different, as this theme is designed to be used with the WindowBlinds "MystIII: Exile" skinset. It also has a new wallpaper.(2,203Kb) Hop on over to www.windowblinds.net (http://www.windowblinds.net) for more details.

http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/rod_bg2screensaver_v2.zip
Now this is what KITIARA wanted...complete lineup of all BG2 NPCS (including the females), all uttering some of my favorite lines. ;) (3,448Kb)

http://www.no-spin.net/rodenka/rod_bg2ss.zip
I re-uploaded the "all male" screensaver, because someone said the zipfile was corrupted. (2,249Kb).

That's it. Enjoy! Be sure to read the NOTES while installing the new Theme designed for Windowblinds. BTW, you can still install that theme EVEN though you don't have WindowBlinds.

P.S. I might be ready with the "adult-versions" by Monday eve. Busy at office again, got lots of stuff to bring home from work. But who knows? I might squeeze in enough dabble time to finish it before Monday... ;)

I like that second version much better. The darker coloring looks better to me.

Great work.

Thanks Bat ;) And really, if you have the time and patience for it, try installing WINDOWBLINDS, and get that "MYST III: EXILE" skinset...I assure you, you will never have to look at your desktop the same way again... ;)

Kit,

Are you serious? You really want nude males? Because I can make you a screensaver of those if you REALLY want to...well, uhh, err, hehehe, of course, without Jan...ohohohoh.

BTW everyone listen up...I have the Erotic Theme and Erotic Screensaver all ready...but the sad thing is this--I'm not at the office today...I'm in a 'net cafe...all the data is in a spare hard disk I'm carrying, but the management of the cafe didn't allow me to slave it so I can upload. And tomorrow's a public holiday so again, I can't upload it from work :( I hope to release it Monday evening (US eastern std time)...again, please be patient! ;)

-RODION

P.S. BAT, yep...that's the problem (WindowBlinds needs to be registered and you have to pay $$$)... :( But the shareware version partially works ;)

Pay? Not likely. I just spent 90 bucks on the net and looking at more. I registered my copy of Opera 5.11, bought some books, and thinking about buying Dreamweaver 4 when the trial period runs out.

Loved the theme, had to download desktop architect first. But when I had that covered I was very pleased.

Great windows 98 startup picture by the way
