Ok, here's how this works, just like the quote game, only with trivia questions. You answer the question, you get to ask the next question. You can post comments if you want, but you only get to ask a question if you answer the previoius question.
Now, here is the kicker to keep thise thread going. For every correct question answered between now and Sunday February 2, 2002 (when it becomes the 2nd where I live), I will personally donate $1 to SP up to a total of $150 max. So, how much I donate depends on how many questions you answer correctly.
So, here is the first question:
Who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama in 1995?
(And yes, you can try to look up the answer)

Is this a trick question? Are you after the person who was awarded this at the 1995 awards (thus, a 1994 film), OR, the person that was awarded at the 1996 awards for a 1995 film???

Only one of these two options was an award for a drama, therefore, the answer is:

Martin Landau for the film Ed Wood.

[Edit: can someone else ask the next question as i'm no good at it? Also, i could ask a deadly easy question to ensure that it is answered correctly.]

@Joacqin - Roald Amundsen of course :)

@Morgoth - No idea, so I'll let leave that question live.

And just clarify an earlier question, which was wrong [The question that is since it didn't have an answer]

The footy one at the top of this page:-

Real Madrid won the UEFA Champions League (which would therefore effectively make them UEFA club champions}.
Galatasaray won the UEFA cup and the super cup.

Since Real were UEFA champions so to speak, there was no correct answer. Cudos to Ara for trying though.

When the encirclement of Stalingrad took place, the german HQ sent there Von Manstein in order to save the trapped 6th army. Manstein's army was designated as Army Group Don and it was consisted of Army Group Hoth, 3rd Romanian Army,Army Detachment Hollidt and the trapped 6th army. The attack began on December 12 under the code name "Operation Winter Tempest". The high mark of "Winter Tempest" was river Mishkava just 48 Kilometers away from Stalingrad, where the 2nd Soviet Guards Division blocked the advancing german divisions. Also, plans were made for the 6th Army to attempt a breakout to link up with the advancing armored divisions of Army Group Hoth under the codename "Thunderclap". This was supposed to begin on December 19, but Paulus chose to follow Hitler's order and stay inside the city than to attempt the breakout as Manstein ordered him to do.
