(i am not sure but i think it comes out in US later....13th june?) Loerand Sun, 13th Apr '03, 11:01pm I haven't seen it, but it looks really darn cool to me :D Charlie Mon, 14th Apr '03, 5:09am The trailer is hilarious. I'll be able to watch it when it opens this Saturday, April 19. Boo the great Mon, 14th Apr '03, 9:35am I haven't seen him either, but he seems to be very cool. But I'm going to see him sometime, at least when I've got tme. For me the final exams are coming up, so I have to study. That's a thing I really hate STUDYING!!! :aww: Sir Dargorn Mon, 14th Apr '03, 2:00pm Charlie? where do you live, cos there seems to be some sort of staggered release, after all i live in England and have already seen it. But then it is an English movie i suppose.... BTW, the critics hate it... therefore it must be great. LKD Mon, 14th Apr '03, 9:12pm Is it another Mr Bean movie? Or does he play someone normal? I hated Bean, but Atkinson as BlackAdder was about the funniest thing I've ever seen, bar none. Oxymore Mon, 14th Apr '03, 9:37pm It is a Mr Bean movie, the only difference is that Atkinson speaks. If you don't like Bean, I doubt you'll like this. I liked it. Malkovitch is great and Natalia Imbruglia is ... in good shape. Fallen Paladin Mon, 14th Apr '03, 9:48pm Is it another Mr Bean movie? Or does he play someone normal? Rowan Atkinson? Normal? :D :p Charlie Tue, 15th Apr '03, 12:16pm Sir Dargorn, I'm in the Philippines where the most expensive theaters charge $3 only. :D Iago Tue, 15th Apr '03, 1:08pm BlackAdder is the peak of western civilization :thumb: I'm excited by Natalia Imbruglia. What a sight for sore eyes :xx: nior Tue, 15th Apr '03, 1:23pm Rowan Atkinson? Normal? - Fallen PaladinWould you believe he was in one of Roger Moore's James Bond movie (Never Say Never Again). Although the role was small but he was normal. Johnny English, He knows no fear... He knows no danger... He knows nothing! Slappy Tue, 15th Apr '03, 1:53pm I remember the charater from the Barcleycard adverts. They were amusing but I'm worried about stretching out a 1 minute idea into a film. I normally hated Mr Bean (except the one where he got dressed on the drive to work - and even then I had to be in the right mode). Unfortunately, from what I've heard, Johnny English is played closer to Bean than he was in the adverts. However, I loved Atkinson as Blackadder and in Not the Nine O'Clock News, so at least the film represents a chance for Atkinson to move away from Bean and start showing how good he can be. Sir Dargorn Tue, 15th Apr '03, 3:26pm Actually to be brutally honest, to say this is Mr Bean like is rubbish. Sure Mr Bean gets everything wrong and so does Johnny English, but then so did Blackadder. The difference between Blackadder and Bean were that in Blackadder, atkinson got everything wrong, and did badly at everything but blamed it on others and still pretended he knew everything, never panicked and used his voice normally. In Bean the mistakes are slapstick and silly, he makes them not through pomposity but through sheer stupidity. Plus that pathetically cringeworthy voice. In all these respects, Johnny English is FAR FAR more like Blackadder than Bean. It's damn funny for one thing. PS: Go to the film with an open mind, look for the acting talents of Atkinson, and please for gods sake don't start analysing every joke. (That means you BIG B) Yerril Tue, 15th Apr '03, 9:17pm I thought it was pretty funny, especially when he put the DVD in for the whole world to see... :p The_Anarkist Wed, 16th Apr '03, 11:05pm I loved it, where hes saying Fthribby, and standing on the coffin looking like a retard is class. an Extract: Boff - Im sorry, hes broken out fromt he mental home across the road JE - Fthribby Boff - yes were going in the van, back home JE - Fthribby Boff - Yes yes come along. Erm, im ever so sorry about this, i do so hope he didnt urinate on anybody? JE - Fthribby Boff - Yes wed better be going... i love that film, worth renting out again Good trailor too i thought, didnt give ALL the good bits away. (btw, Natalie Imbruglia was well pretty lookin ;) ) Aikanaro Thu, 17th Apr '03, 12:16pm I have heard that it is realy quite terrible. I probably won't bother seeing it Frostbite Thu, 17th Apr '03, 6:20pm I saw it yesterday with some of my school friends. Gotta love the bit on the film when Johnny breaks into the hospital instead of the office. Charlie Sat, 19th Apr '03, 7:25pm Just saw it. I think his Black Adder series was better. Still, it was quite funny. It's worth watching. |
