Any wargamers here who have any fond memories of simulating this great campaign on computer or with friends over a board game?

A summer many years ago four of my friends and I spent many days playing Fire in the East - Scorched Earth (Europa series). Oh it was grand! Almost unplayable, but grand! :D

If you are looking for a great simulation war game for the computer try "Europe in Flames". It is two games in one called "East Front" and "West Front". Excellent WWII Simulations.

I never really liked the campaign series all that much. Go get Century of Warfare instead. The Operational Art of War is so much fun.
