Ive hit a snacg with my idea to create LoTR sond sets, in that i cant run two sound files at once. IT says that it cant perform bistream sound. I have a DIVx of The fellowhsip, but cant run the sound. I heard that you can run it from Winamp 3, but that still comes up with the same error. I thought that perhaps i could convert the whole movies sound to a sav, and then extract parts tfrom that, but havent tried. Its either that, take the computer out to the TV and record from the DVD, or someone tells me the cheat way around the bistream error.

You need a sound card that is capable of simultaneously playing a sound (WAVE OUT) *and* recording that *same* sound (WAVE IN). SBLive can do that. Most sound cards can *not* record back from the WAVE output.

So you have your DivX player playing the movie, and a recording app set to record from WAVE, on pause. When you find a piece you want to keep, you rewind the movie and at the right moment you unpause your recording app.

OR

You need 2 sound cards (perhaps a built-in sound chip on the motherboard and a regular sound card). You play the DivX on one card, take the Line-Out from that card and connect it to Line-In of the second card, and record from Line-In of the second card. (Your speakers should be connected to the second card).
