Words can barely describe my anger towards Lucas for even allowing this film to be released...let's review:

EP IV-VI: Great story, acting, cheesy kid actors/one-liners: Minimal

EP I: Cheesy kid actors/one-liners: waaay too many. The fact that Jar Jar Binks even exists tarnishes the Star Wars name.

EP II: hmmm...wooden acting, downright hilarious dialogue, and guess what, SW freaks: when Yoda pulled out his lightsaber, I (along with the rest of the theater) burst into laughter!

Oh, and one more thing... "Around the survivors, a perimeter you must form..."

BRING ON THE FLAMES...

(sorry if I included any of other people's info in this post, I haven't checked all the SW threads yet)

ask and you shall receive! sorry, but this thread seems pretty pointless. my opinion: http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/Forum7/HTML/001856.html

there're just as many one-liners in the original trilogy as the new films, you're just used to them.

I thought we already a topic for Starwars. Do you think that your opinion is so important that you need to open a special topic for it?

I loved it!

It had N. Portman! No seriously..

I thought the flying car scene was a bit overdone, and George still didn't throw JarJar on a spear (But at least his role was small). But the rest of the movie was really cool! Thet wher animals....Abd I sloughtered them like animals! And thanks to lord dooku (...) I thought I was @ LOTR once again when he talked about the dark lord, and said my Old Friend.

If they contineu in this way episode III will be the best SW ever :)!

Luke...There is another... Oh Never mind! :)

Count Dooku... explain your opinion. WHY do you think it's a good movie?

The only criticism I have is Lucas trying to cram more into 2 hours, by making the characters yap out their lines. The whole movie is like one long book. No one pauses when they reach a period, comma, or semicolon.

Usually, when you have one character talking to another character, there's a little pause (1 second or under is nominal) where that character is either THINKING or ACTING like he/she is thinking, before spitting out the reply that was typed on his/her script.

Liam does this in all his movies, so I can deal with that. But Portman and Mcgreggor do it too, which means either they are spending too much time with Liam, or Lucas is using the bullhorn to yell "Hurry Up!!!" entirely too much.

ej- i agree with your 'rushed acting' criticism, but the second and third paragraphs of your post are contradictory (you need to edit 'this' at the beginning of paragraph three)...

your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to edit the above post within 24 hours. do this and i will not send you to hell...

Dooku, you're intelligence equals young Anakin's (can't remember the actor's name) acting ability!

Well, I have to say... IT ROCKS!!!! You know Jar Jar Binks was suppose to be a battle worn warrior, that would've been cool. I loved Episode two. Yoda fighting with a light saber was awsome. It made me feel good about being short. So what, there was a little bit of talking and dramma, but without it there would be no plot about Darth Vader.

Acting ability... bah. Just because the guy on the screen doesn't act the way you perhaps expected doesn't make him a bad actor. IMO he did a great job. They all did. Aside from some of Anakins "duh" stupid smiling facial expressions there was nothing wrong with him. Besides better that nobody than some Mark Walberg or Josh Hartnett or something.

And to me EP2 marks the fact that Lucas actually listened to the feedback from EP1, as it happens to fit in with EP4,5&6 just as well as it should. Jar-jar was removed from active duty and made an important part of the plot. C3po was brought back, and a good amount of background info for the latter episodes was provided as well.

Hmmm...I was under the impression that acting ability has a large importance in the ability of an actor to act...
