Most "musicians" have a few songs that have (somewhat) discernable points, but having a point or a deep meaning doesn't make him/her good, to me at least (this is entirely a matter of opinion though, so neither of us is really right or wrong)...not to mention he picked a pretty stupid name...(might as well have chosen Skittle or Cherry Blasters or something).

Elves? Nah, don't really like them. I like the idea of an army of humans, orcs and dwarves rampaging through an elven city, smashing their freaky faces with musket rounds and chopping their skinny limbs with cold, hard steel. Steam tanks and catapaults to shatter their pretty buildings and the total bloody annihilation of a race that's always too ' noble, rare, beautiful, etc etc.

Of course, Drizzt USED to be cool, Arilyn Moonblade and Liriel Baenre are cute, but I still think they would look better cold and lifeless with a few hammer and sword wounds.

For a really cool elf story, check out the graphic novel Poison Elves. The main character Lusiphur, is one violent and psychopathic elf with awesome lines.

Well, Ara, I'm a LV 7 solo in Kalimdor, using mostly Humans. I'm not a very good player, though I do beat my fair share of opponents.

Warcraft 3 is all about practice, reflexes and nerve, so play more, Ara, and you will get better. For any who are confident of their skills, try challenging Arkados Blackmire. He plays Orcs and kicks the ass of almost every opponent he plays against.

Bah...too much time on my hands and too little energy to continue writing. I'm staring at my screen now and the words are trickling forth at a snail's pace...

Elves are cool, mostly. It just depends how you write about them. If you write about them as the two goody two shoes of the universe then they get boring quick. But very few good writers do that.
Amd as for not expressing emotions, think of Fëanor. He chucked a hissy fit at the gods, was jealous, spiteful, arrogent, completly obsessed, ruthless and quite a few other emotions and attitudes. Though elves been smashed to pieces is a nice alturnative to elves saving the day :evil:

Elves are cool only becouse they protect the nature :grin:

I specialized in Elves in Warcraft 3.
When you start they're not so strong but once you get a decent skill with them you can rock. Druids of the talon especialy - they can heal they can enchant the entire army(+25% to damage) and they can shapeshift to be AWSOME fighters. Take 5 Druids of the Talon some archers and your heroes and you have all you need for victory.

But the best thing in W3 is that its extremly balanced. All races have their strenghts and weakneses. None is THE best. Its all in the choosing.

This story happened about a month ago in a little town in Louisiana, and while it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's real. Read to the end.
This guy was on the side of the road hitch hiking on a very dark night in the middle of a storm. The night passed slowly and no cars went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him.
Suddenly he saw a car slowly looming, ghostlike, out of the gloom. It slowly crept toward him and stopped. Reflexively, the guy got into the car
and closed the door, then realized that there was nobody behind the wheel.
The car slowly started moving again. The guy was terrified, too scared to think of jumping out and running. The guy saw that the car was slowly
approaching a sharp curve. The guy started to pray, begging for his life; he was sure the ghost car would go off the rod and he would plunge to his
death, when just before the curve, a hand appeared thru the window and turned the steering wheel, guiding the car safely around the bend.
Paralyzed with terror, the guy watched the hand reappear every time they reached a curve. Finally, the guy gathered his wits and leaped from the
car and ran to the nearest town.
Wet and in shock, he went into a bar and voice quavering, ordered two shots of tequila, and told everybody about his horrible, supernatural
experience. A silence enveloped everybody when they realized the guy was apparently sane and not drunk.
About half an hour later two guys walked into the same bar. One says to the other, "Look Boudreaux, that's dat idiot that rode in our car when we
was pushin it in the rain."

I had my first day of my new "school" today... it was fun! the food's great, the people are great, there is this one guy who is really nice and absolutely GOREGEOUS :love: ... too bad he apparently is interested in my friend. Well, my friend has her eye set on another one of the guys, so I am not complaining :)

I also found pics of the play Crucible, as done by the Drama Guild...they're really cool :)

My friend Brian and I are thinking of different hazardous and potentially lethal formulas for our Earth Science assignment. Here's the one I came up with in about 1 minute (I just forgot to put the elements in the right order): (S6K5)2H2O(Mn5As)3
Elements are in bold italics. If we could actually create this formula, liquidize it, and test it on a subject, the effect would basically be: poisoned, engulfed in flames, and finally, explosion! BWAHAHAHAHAAA!

My telephone line was broken again for 4 weeks. Don't know how long it works now so i have to babble quick.
I don't need to play fantasy games any more, because France is a fantasy world. They all can talk quicker than i ever could and that's very fast. Everybody is telling me jokes i don't understand. And sometimes i understand every word but not the meaning. They think Germans (me) are very negative. Maybe.
In this land we cook with gasbottles. And we heat our houses with woodfires. There's never enough hot water to take a bath. You can just wash one leg. And one arm the next day. ;)
Inside the castle it's still colder than outside. When my boss last visited us she found a little bat in her bed. :D Squeak:"Here's an animal, it has big ears, and it has FEEEEET."

I came home from a party... so I am really upset now.

It started off so well, it was my friend - Rosie, it was her leaving party, she had friends, her two brothers had friends over and so did her parents. Her bother James kept out of the way at first with his friends. Ed and Rosies friends came together for spin the bottle - then truth or dare - disaster struck. Ed - 12, James - 9, Rosie - 13. Ed said stumpy was fit and had a nice arse. During Truth or dare she was dared to take her thong off without removing her trousers - 90% complete, during spin the bottle they had kissed and everything. But Stumpy... she got hyper and got everyone else hyper and Rosie stopped talking to her. They'll never see each other again and now they won't talk either. I'm going to go to school on Monday and Rosie won't be there. I have been with her through first and middle school now in High school she is going and I don't know what it will be like. it didn't help when everyone got hyper that there was a rotten-apple fight in the garden. I had fun apart from these things... But I'm missing her already and we both cried when I had to go.

Taza, there are already enough items in the game. But what I would like to see is a decend "tougher encounters" -mod. Ascension was great, tactical encounters from deep; so a different one would be nice. One that would not give any special abilities to enemies, or new skills... It would just add to the number of enemies, or replace them with 'a bit' tougher ones (Liches aren´t really *that* common, as in tac.enc.). Firkraag could have a mate, and that shadow dragon could have some minions in his chamber... Random traps in dungeons, more guardians, way less money... Hopefully you got the point. ;)

I have succesfully ripped off Rivendell for my graphics project, and it actually looks great!

This is about the third crackpot scheme of mine that has actually gone right!

I have got a wicked cold, but it's weird, my nose is stuffy, but I'm not phlegmy at the back of my throat -- I can't breathe through my nose and so I've got a wicked sore throat and dry-mouth. The pharmacist tells me to try this nasal spray. I've never had the guts to use the stuff before, but I bought some and gave it a go. Holy $*(^! It feels like a nuke went of in my nostrils, but at least I've been breathing normally for the last 8 hours or so!

You know, the problem with headphones is you can't tell how loud you are singing!

I turned my headphones up to maximum volume this morning, to see what it was like. After your ears get used to the thrumming base, it is actually really cool!

The only downsides are that everyone can hear you, and about ten minutes after, your jaws and neck start to hurt. :(

Well.

My cd burner just gave up the ghost. It was a fairly old model. Don't really know how many cd's it burned, as I swapped out with someone to upgrade theirs. Funny thing is that it's the exact same drive as my other usb burner, except it was the IDE version. And I know it's not burned as many disks as the external has.

Anyways, I decided to move up to a dvd burner. I keep seeing and hearing good things about that Sony 500A one. And as massive as my "working" disk case is, I figure I could consolidate all my game patches and cheats and drivers onto one massive dvdrw.

Called down to the local store today, any they had one left. I guess these things are selling like hotcakes.

I don't let my students wear headphones during tests -- too easy to burn or tape answers! But during class time when they're reading or doing worksheets, I let them listen as long as no one else around them can hear it. It keeps them quiet.

I'm still sick, and I'm also ticked off at life. My Dad is going to Japan in June and offered to take me with him. I checked into it at work, and there's NO WAY to get the time off. So unless he can get a similar price for a July trip, I am hosed. Stupid employer!

Two days ago a sheep froze to death at night and died on my lap in the morning. :(
Yesterday i had to pull out a new lamb because it was too big and the birth made no progress. Lamb and mother are well. Me too. ;)

I've never had to pull out lambs before. I'd imagine you don't have to use a "come-along". One of those nifty devices that are hooked onto a strap, and you "ratchet" back and forth to pull.

Pulling horses and calves can be a chore. But a chore made easier with a "come-along". ;)
