View Full Version : Fight Club Black Rose Sat, 23rd Feb '02, 3:29am Anyone seen this movie? Vukodlak Sat, 23rd Feb '02, 3:42am Probably :) I thought it was brilliant the first time I saw it. Later I saw it again and for some reason it gets worse with each repeated viewing. maybe the first time I was taken aback by the originality... Dunno it looks and feels as though it should be a very good film but it isn't really :( [This message has been edited by Vukodlak (edited February 23, 2002).] [This message has been edited by Vukodlak (edited February 23, 2002).] joacqin Sat, 23rd Feb '02, 12:31pm Fight Club is one of the best films I have ever seen. The twists and the acting is brilliant. And all the questions that it raises made me think, and a movie that makes me think is a good movie. the god Sat, 23rd Feb '02, 1:24pm fight club is massively overrated. 'transformers the movie' :borg: is far superior! [This message has been edited by the god (edited February 23, 2002).] cirian16 Sat, 23rd Feb '02, 7:37pm I loved the movie Fightclub it's one of my favorite movies.I thought the one actor in it(not Bradd Pitt the other main character)was great the way he said some of his lines i thought was great. It had some nice thinks to think about and some interesting things in it.....and to make sure im not insane remember the whole joke about slicing a porno movie into little kids movie they did that in the last scene in this movie didn't they?just makin sure im not nuts..... Alyr Arkhon Sat, 23rd Feb '02, 9:54pm cirian 16: Edward Norton is his name. And yes, this movie is great. maybe it1s the best Fincher movie and he is a great director. cirian16 Sat, 23rd Feb '02, 10:55pm Edward Norton!thanks I've only seen him in one or two other movies but I think hes done a pretty good job as an actor. Psycho. the fanged rabbit Sun, 24th Feb '02, 9:22am I loved Fight Club it's in my top 3 favirote movies list. It was so different and brilliant. I'm glad to see other people love it too because I can't find one person I know that likes it and I just tell them they are on something. Alienboy Sun, 24th Feb '02, 10:58am *Spoiler* * * * * I have my own imagenary friend. Just thought you might like to know. Mhahahahaaha:evil: *everyone looks :eek: Volar Blackmane Sun, 24th Feb '02, 12:25pm Saw it, hated it, won't see it again. Lokken Sun, 24th Feb '02, 2:26pm It was an interesting idea and the film certainly was different. But I didn't really like the plot and didn't understand it till the absolute end. Nor do I really like open endings, guess it's a matter of preference. My best friend thinks it rocks too, oh well. Weird movie in my opinion. Black Rose Sun, 24th Feb '02, 3:47pm Yeah, I thought it was weird too. Still a very interesting movie IMHO, and I thought the acting was phenomenal. 'Specially Edward Norton, with those damn voiceovers. "I Am Jack's Raging Bile Duct." ArchAngel Sun, 24th Feb '02, 7:09pm The movie has loads of flaws and mix ups. But the concept that you can live not knowing what is real and what is your own illusions, rocks. IT is a movie I would recommend to see twice of more. I'll give it 3 sorcerer staffs out of 5 :) Cannibal Penguin Sun, 24th Feb '02, 10:59pm It's just an amazing movie, I love the fight scene with himself! It's a movie you definetly should see at least once, simply on its merits of originality. TheBlackRose Mon, 25th Feb '02, 12:30am But the question is: What is the narrator's real name? Arabwel Mon, 25th Feb '02, 9:35am Believe it or not, but I actually watched the movie in psych ward. :) I liked it, but it is not the kind of movie I want to see again. Ara (Life is Hell whren you're bossed around by an obsessive-compulsive cleaning maniac...) Christopher_Lee Mon, 25th Feb '02, 1:06pm A splendid film, though not as splendid as the book, which is far more anarchistic, rather than as emasculating as the film... the god Mon, 25th Feb '02, 1:10pm ara- that reminds me of terry gilliam's remake of la jetee. Mathetais Mon, 25th Feb '02, 2:49pm Really liked it. Since then I've been tempted to beat the crap out of myself a few times ... but so far I've resisted! Sapiryl Mon, 25th Feb '02, 4:04pm I thought the movie was brilliant. The first time I saw it I was extremely confused until the last scene, and then it all clicked. Great stuff. In one of my college courses we actually used it as a creative media source. :D Slith Mon, 25th Feb '02, 10:46pm I loved that movie. It is one of "The few, The Proud, The I forget" that surprised me in the end. sorvo Wed, 27th Feb '02, 8:38am Yes,definitly a Top 10 of all time for me:) That is one of the only ones that had me confused till the end! Jack Funk Wed, 27th Feb '02, 6:12pm I didn't make it to the end. About 1/2 way through the dark atmosphere and violence became more than I wanted to be exposed to. From what I saw, it was very well done. Perhaps too well done for me. |
