I need help! Lately, whenever I view Sorcerer's Place, the resolution becomes 640X480. But if I view another website, the normal view, 800X600, returns. Why? I'm using Internet Explorer Version 5.50.

The Internet Explorer has no own resolution. It just uses the resolution of Windows wich is obviously 800x600 on your pc. The only thing that changes the size of a page is the Text-size (wich also affects the page size for with larger text, you also need larger frames). This option can be found under the buttton "View" in the Internet Explorer. Open the Sorcerer's Place site, go to view and check that the Text Size is on Normal.
When this is OK, and other pages are normal, it can only be a cache problem, (cookie) so an old setting for this page is loaded when you open the page. You can clear the cache this way:

- Go to Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools
- Click on Internet Options
- Click on Delete Files on the General-page
- Place a mark at Älso delete off-line items and click on OK.
- Delete histoy
- Go to Settings
- Place a mark at: Every time the browser is started (second option)
- Click twice on OK
- Close all screens of the Internet Explorer

Now you can start IE again and the problem should be solved!

Actually i had a similar problem. I dont think it is the resoloution though what it is is the font size. You have to go view, text size and then pick a smaller size. I also noticed i stopped having this problem when i downloaded IE6. :grin:

That's what I already said :) However normally the text encoding is one setting that affects each site, so it is strange that all the other sites are normal.

What about us as the Sorcerer's Place Technical Helpdesk? :) We would be a great team together. ;)

Sorry but I figured it out myself after messing with the options. It's just like you guys said... It's the font size thingie. Thanks anyway... Maybe you guys *should* start an SP Help Desk ;)

oh god why couldn't you just go to wiew tab and change text size???? Some of you peeps make things so complicated!
