While waiting for my son's playmate's mother to stop by, I decided to try and make some lembas for his snack time.

I gotta tell you, it came out damn good. It was flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. I put in lemon instead of grated orange peel. my boy was pleased and even quoted Legolas' line from the film.

aahh..to keep them young before they turn into teenagers *chuckle* j/k

I sense doubt. Here you go.

Lembas recipe (http://www.full-bloom.net/fun/lembas.html)

do a search on Google for Lembas Recipe..you'll find several sites.

Sorry! My question was based on curiosity, not skepticism, and the desire to try a new recipe! Cool!

Boredom makes some people do silly things

Are you refering to Jon Arbuckle? :)

Eh, it's just that boredom makes you cross lines you wouldn't normally cross and once you have crossed them it's hardly possible to turn back. You then go forth and cross new lines and so on. A nice vitious circle which ends in a nice oaken chest. ;)

Oh! Sorry Rallymama :) I apologize for the bluntless of my response. But yeah, it's a good snack to have around when swamped by kids.

ummm ... what was the Legolas quote associated with this desert? (I've only seen the movies once each).

By the way, I've looked around that Full Bloom web-site ... and now I offically hate Orlando. What a yutz!

Aged nine, I had this girlfriend, and we used to have running races in the park to see who would be her boyfriend for the day. I wanted to be like Superman and fly in and rescue her. Once I realised Superman was an actor, I thought, "That's for me." I got into acting for the women.

Boredom sucks...

When I am bored or thinking I doodle.

My Chemistry exam has a little doodle of an adventurer fighting a dragon while walking his dog.

I'd really like to taste that lembas you made. :)

Totally agreeing with Math...

Besides, Karl Urban is much more good-looking and actually does some acting.

*trots round, round, round, wearing a 'KARL URBAN FOREVER' T-shirt*

And yes, Eze does suck.

Math you would be surprised what people do to get the girls. ;)
I think for more or less all musicians the girls was one of the deciding factors when choosing that route, and I do not think Bloom is alone among actors to choose that path for the ladeez. What is wrong with that though? Aint the women worth some effort? :p

I'll have to try that lembas myself. As for Orlando, well, I can't blame anyone for doing what it takes to get women. On the other hand, as far as I'm concerned, he's one of the worst casting choices in the movies. He doesn't look unearthly to me, he looks --- well, for want of a better term, effeminate.

Perhaps if I see him in something else my opinion of the man as an actor will improve. But those moving GIFs on his site are enough to make me want to puke.

Depaara ... catch him in "Black Hawk Down" for a good laugh. (no, the movie isn't funny, but Orlando is)

He is a cocky recruit who falls out of the helicopter instead of repelling.

My poor wife who up until that point was in  love with Legolas couldn't stop laughing!

My poor wife who up until that point was in love with Legolas couldn't stop laughing! Sounds to me like you just hate Bloom cause your wife likes her a little too much  .

That's no reason to call him an idiot :p

I used to like just Legolas, not Orli... but what can I say? Now I like Orlando, too! :p

Acting for women IS stupid in my opinion. Sheesh. Like it or not.

(Karl, give me the remote and put a pillow under my feet and then come and sit near me.)

I'm bored a lot, so I know what you mean. When I'm bored, I light stuff on fire, not really safe, but extremely fun
