I've posted this a couple of other places, but no one can seem to decide or present a really convincing argument.
I have a player who wants to start a level 1 human monk (3rd edition) and wants to know if they can take both Dodge and Mobility as feats. Now, Mobility requires the aquisition of Dodge and a Dex of 13+. Because he is human, he wants to use his Bonus feat to get Mobility.
One side argues that by rules the feats are attained at the same time and that the Mobility wouldn't be a possible choice.
The opposition says that sensibly the Dodge and Mobility are abilities picked up by the adventurer. Thus they could've concievably learned Dodge then Mobility before reaching level 1.
Any insight on how other DM's would handle this? I'll probably give it to him, but I'd like to see other people's insights.
