View Full Version : Druids Rock? Erran Thu, 10th May '01, 2:07pm Any good creative ideas for spells a 1st level druid without an animal companion can use against humanoids? Dudette Sat, 12th May '01, 1:25am wat u mean kinda like find familiar the mage spell in bg2 for a druid? or somtin' similar? i guess that would be cool... (i should more carefully considering that this makes not sense watsoever to the anwser to the question :D) [This message has been edited by Dudette (edited May 12, 2001).] Capt. Tripps Sat, 12th May '01, 10:06am Faerie Fire is a good one to use if you have a fighter with you as it gives the target a +4 to be hit. A staff of slinging is a nice Druid only weapon that you don't see much. It appears to be a normal +1 staff unless used by a Druid. The Druid can use the end of the staff to pick up a spherical object of up to 5lbs and throw it by whipping the staff overhead. The damage is 1D6+1. Use missle weapon THAC0+1. Crawl Sun, 13th May '01, 6:49am Well, this may not help, but here are some of my favorites. Doom is always a good spell. Entangle is nice in Baldur's Gate. Hope these might be of some help. Sol'Kanar Wed, 16th May '01, 1:38am 1st level druid? Well, this may not be too creative, but it's always fun to cast shillelagh on that club or quarterstaff and go around crackin' heads. Volar Blackmane Wed, 16th May '01, 1:43pm I believe he's talking about 3rd edition D&D, not BG. Too bad I'm not at home, don't have my Players Handbook with me... Ok, got it. Hmm... Try flare, not much else to choose from. At level 3 you get heat metal, try that on someone wearing full plate *grin* [This message has been edited by Volar Blackmane (edited May 16, 2001).] Hawkwinter Thu, 17th May '01, 2:54am Obscuring Mist has always been a favorite of mine, Summon Nature's Ally I is good for setting up flank attacks but since the ally only hangs around for one round at 1st level that's about it. Someone already mentioned Shillelaigh, which is good as well. |
